Div 1 promotion

Recommended Posts

If consistency wins you games then it will be Frimley being crowned champions. Better goal difference and only 2 defeats whereas Westfield have lost 3, conceded more and scored less. I no westfield have played more games but before december remember frimley were unbeaten.

I really hope Westfield come up because I like the club, barring 1 incident eh NLN ;), and they have decent facilities now which will add to the Prem.

After that not too bothered but I do really hope all the top 3 are able to go up otherwise it makes a mockery of it all.

Even if Camberley go down as a result?

Or are you now feeling more comfortable with your league position after those two recent wins?

If we finish in the bottom 3 we deserve to go down Fred. Makes a mockery of the league if teams who cant come up keep finishing in the promotion places.

Agreed with Kroons. We've been let off relegation in the past despite finishing bottom of leagues due to no teams coming up or league re-organisations or whatever. There are only so many times you can be lucky....

Anyway, if no-one comes down from step 4 there'll be one less relegation place, if two go up from our division there'll be two less. Unless any teams decide to switch leagues.

I can't see us finishing in a relegation place but never say never. I'm not gonna do a West Ham and say we're too good to go down.

**edit**

Ha! I see West Ham are number one in the list of teams that were allegedly too good to go down. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/3117914/Football-Top-10-too-good-to-go-down-teams-Football.html

Clubs not being relegated and not being promoted has been going on for years.

Lets take the EVO STIK DIV1 CENTRAL for instance, only 1 team getting relegated this year but only one team from the CCL PREM garunteed promotion, it dont make sense? Why not let 2 go up from both feeder leagues and relegate the bottom 3 or 4 from the EVO STIK?

The one down from the step 4 divisions is only happening this season. The step 3 leagues and the two Ryman divisions at step 4 are expanding to 24 teams so there's less relegation this season and more promotion from step 5. From next season there'll be three down from the Ryman Division Ones. The Southern and Northern Leagues are staying at two down as they'll still only have 22 clubs at step 4.
