Div 1 promotion

Recommended Posts

Div1 Looks Intresting who going for promotion and who can get promotion. What happens if a team finishes 3 and don't have the right grading does it go to 4 who may have the right grading etc and so on

Nope, top three only are elligible, if any of them do not have the grading then a team or teams in the Premier get a reprieve, which happens most seasons actually

You'd have to say that Westfield and Frimley Green are favourites for 1st and 2nd based on current form and positions. They bith meet the ground hrading aa far as i am aware?? But stand to be corrected.

3rd place is probably up for grabs. Eversley currently there but after a shocking performance yesterday against lowly Sheerwater I think they'll be pipped by one if the chasing pack. They don't have lights anyway, and cant see them going up any time soon, so I'm sure the teams fighting for relegation in the Prem will be hoping Eversley do finish top 3, ha!!

At the moment Frimley do not have a stand Chubby but I would presume that it will change. Although what the locals will make of a stand going up on a Public Recreation Ground remains to be seen.

I may be wrong but dont clubs get a season to put the stand in etc?

I think that's when they enter Division 1 from step 7. I believe you need to have the facilities in place before getting promoted to the Premier.

I think it will be Eversley that go up in third although if anyone's going to pip them to it I think it'll be Spelthorne. Haven't seen South Kilburn yet and there's still time for a few upsets along the way.

Frimley, Westfield and Spelthorne for me, like to think we could make 3rd but think its too far for us but still out to cause some upsets and hopefully win the 4 cups were in!!

i believe when we were graded our seats were not permanent an just temporary then we built a stand all within the requested time there fore allowing us to be able to gain promotion from division one!?

Not sure you do anymore do you ?

Where is VP when you need him ?

You need to get the grade for the level you're playing at by March 31st. For Division One clubs this is a 'G' which includes a stand. As mentioned elsewhere, any Division One club without a 'G' by March 31st is classed as a relegated club from this season, although it's unlikely any will go down.

Farnham had a 'G when they got promoted but needed to do a couple of things to get an 'F' to stay in the Premier Division which they've done.

It's not just a stand that Frimley need, they need to enclose the ground as well so that you can't watch from outside like you can now.

You don't need to prevent viewing from outside until you get to step 4 these days (an 'E' grade).

On games iv seen, I feel Westfield have had a lot of late goals in games whilst on a good run. And I'm sure there going to come back into the pack. Frimley not saying they will win it but top 3 is a definant for them unless they throw it all away. Eversley,Westfield, spelthorne and mole valley (only if they keep page fit) battling it out

I don't think no one is definitely going up just yet. Westfield seem lucky (yes ive watched a few games), Frimley's form has dipped lately and Eversley blow hot/cold like there's no tomorrow. Losing Baker won't help that by the looks of it!

I think the anyone from the top 7 could go up yet.. Only time will tell! Although personally, I don't think Epsom, Spelthorne and SK have the legs.

Still way to early to call. It will be the midweek games that could decide it if the games keep getting cancelled.

I reckon Frimley and Westfield (barring miraculous dips in form) will finish top three, with frimley walking away with it, and westfield coming 2nd, or possibly third, if their luck/late goals run out.

As for the third team it is literally who can get am sustained run together. Spelthorne, Eversley, and MVSCR seem to be a tad incosistent, South Kilburn i think will run out of steam, and draw a few too many games. Epsom are a real dark horse and can lead a very late charge. As can Staines.

I liked the look of Croydon when we played them, but again a few result of theirs have shocked me.

Who still has who to play in the top 7?

Being at Spelthorne I know we have Westfield, Croydon, MVSCR at home, with Lammas and SK away which both look like cup finals if we want to keep up the pressure. Also have Epsom home and away.

Of the 14 games we have to play against the current top 8 we have played 10. Remaining games against Westfield (a),Frimley (a),MV (a) and SK (h).

As said above, the league still has a long way to go. Our results against Sheerwater have shown how competitive the league is this season. If you don't turn up and play well, all teams can take points off each other.

Looks like a very interesting few months ahead.
