Frankie100
Road Sea Southampton played Thanet Utd in the mid 80s and won promotion to the Southern League Premier Division. Their backer (Haulage firm I think) pulled out and club folded in 1987
Coffin Ender
Didn't Stamco/St Leonard's rise from works league to at least the level we are at now within a few years? That is really complicated. You used to have Hastings United at the Pilot Field in the Southern League and Hastings Town in the Sussex League at The Firs next door. Hastings United went bust in the 80s and Town took over their ground and league place, leaving The Firs unoccupied, which I guess is where Stamco stepped in. Town later changed their name to United, which is the current club.
