Really Ref ?

Had a close look and yes in places it looks a bit dodgy but can I recall in past years slipping and slding all over the place when pitches were far far worse than todays. I can understand the refs concerns to a degree but overall in my opinion the game could have gone ahead but then its not my opinion that counts is it?

Apart from a few patches the overall pitch looked fine. In this day and age everything is not as it used to be is it? Football has turned soft!

One thing that DID go ahead was the award for Player of the month. Awarded to Matt Bodkin for the month of December and presented to him by Mark Sandwell. Thanks to our Don who took the photo and I'm sure that will be up soon on the website. Well done Matt!

Just got back from making a wasted journey. I am extremely p**ssed off, but my real sympathy is with Leiston team and fans who have travelled a long way and been let down by an inadequate process. There has been no deterioration in conditions during the day so, whatever examination took place earlier to determine whether Leiston travelled, should have stood - particularly as both team were keen to play.

I can't believe today's pitch was worse than the ones we played on at East Thurrock or Concord.

If both teams wanted to play, but the game was postponed anyway, what was the point of asking them?

Still, looking on the bright side, they were nine games unbeaten so hopefully they won't be in such good form when it is rearranged.

if both teams were willing to play why didn't the ref say 'look i'm not happy with the state if the pitch but lets give it a go if it looks dangerous or people sliding about I'll call it off'....must have cost Leiston £500 plus for coach travel etc and now they have got to do the same again in the future, more cost and yes we have got to do the same for Whitehawk and Lowerstoft re-arranged games, in the times of tight bugets for non league clubs surely common sense must play a part in officals decisions......that's my Sunday morning rant over with.....

Sorry, by your name "bufc" then I guess you may not be a mfc supporter? Does that give you reason to comment on a mfc forum? Life may be cruel but I follow mfc not bufc , ill accept that

By your name NewBlue123 there is a multitude of teams you could support.......never judge a book by its cover,eh!?
