Top marks to all those who went yesterday and thanks to Mr Twitter for the match updates. Glad you were rewarded with a fine victory.

I heard we had at least 50 there - any idea of the final number? Maldon and Tiptree, riding high at the top of RLN had 85 for their home game yesterday !!!!

Fantastic display and a well desereved win. It was amazing to think it was all but the same side as Tuesday at Eastleigh such was the improvement.

An early goal from Jay May built some confidence which looked like it might all be undone when Taylor was stupidly sent off for dissent having just been given a yellow and subsequently warned by the ref to calm down.

It was backs to the wall a bit for the rest of the first half but a second from Jay May early in the second half settled some nerves. They pulled one back from a free kick, but a class finish from May at the near post to complete his (perfect I think) hattrick and his fourth when he ran through and chipped the keeper made it a great trip.

Jay May was awesome up front and took all his goals well but it was a fine, hard working team display. Semakula in particular never stopped running.

More of the same please next Saturday please lads.

Great support too. I guess 40-50 Blues made the long journey.

650+ Mile round trip and well worth doing. The lad's were awesome yesterday, Hard to believe they are the same team that got hammered at Eastleigh.

Jay May could have had another two but i'm sure he didn't want to be seen as greedy :-)

Great team effort barring the stupid pointless sending off.

Big thanks to our two drivers Ryan & Ben And also to Umbrella Man for sorting out the accommodation for us. Great Weekend guys.

Was gonna do a mini blog for this weekend but i'm just too lazy.

But is was another excellent weekender away following the Blues ,who produced a top performance making up for the dross that was served up at Eastleigh.

Shame they missed the 2nd goal in the highlight's as it was a corker,a quick thanks to all that made the trip such an enjoyable one and a special thanks to the two drivers who carted a group of us across the country this weekend.

Roll on Havant.

Amazing game, amazing result and amazing time. I’m sure this will be one of those “I was there” games that we will talk about in years to come.

We were down to the bare bones with injuries and suspensions but started well with a very good goal worked between the front two. I’m not sure what Charlie said to get sent off but it was obviously very disappointing for us. I thought the ref handled the whole situation very badly. If you look at the video, you will see it’s their 2 who runs over to start up again, so I’m surprised no second yellow for him at least. Subbed off at HT – Enough said.

Ironically without an out and out winger our team was set up quite well to defend with ten men and I thought we did an exceptional job, keeping our shape and making it very difficult for Truro, who lacked the quality to break through our lines.

A perfect hat-trick for Jay May followed by a fourth for good measure, arguably his best ever performance in a Blue shirt for his all-round game as well as his goals. All the team worked really hard but I’d also give a special mention to the new left-back who did really well for us considering he hadn’t even trained with us and Paul Semakula whose non-stop game seems well suited to our style of play – but again it was a team effort and an incredible turnaround from Tuesday.

Decent turnout from us as well considering the marathon trip. Massive shout out to Trevor, the Bar Manager at Truro who was an absolutely top bloke and to Gazza for chauffeuring me there and back.

We’ve now set ourselves the level that we need to keep for the rest of the season. Another long trip next week but we know we can win these games now.

You’ve all done very well. COYB!
