smellynuts
After the latest (legal) approach for BJ Cristie, I would like to congratulate Dunstable Town for now going into double figures (actually eleven, that's a whole team!) in the number of AFC Dunstable players they have approached since pre season. Many of our players have never been paid for playing before and now it is brilliant to see them getting bucket loads, which will make a huge difference to their personal finances and still play at the same ground and in the same league – how good is that! During December Jim Baldry and Dan Ryan both showed incredible loyalty to turn down great offers from Dunstable, but their unrelenting interest surely demonstrates a huge respect for the way AFC management and coaches nurture our players, and the players involved are fully deserving of the money that comes their way. It would be a tragedy if either Aylesbury, St Marg’s or Oxhey (my tip) go on and pip them for the title, not least because that could make Dunstable Town appear stupid for all the money they have ploughed in, especially after being piped by Royston last term. Finally, BJ Cristie is a great and extremely loyal servant of AFC’s. His heart is totally with AFC that there is no doubt, but I have told him face to face that for the offer he has been made then go and take their money. The Dog
Mr Smellynuts, Lets put the record straight BJ Christie was not illegally approached and I even spoke to your Chairman once the Seven Dayer was put in as the rules clearly state. I am also under the impression that AFC have made it quite clear that they have not got the ambition to go up the leagues and After you paid for them to go to Marabella they felt they had to be loyal. I am also on the understanding that you had a row with your committee and told the players that if they left you would lose your Job. I am again on the understanding that the offers we have made are exactly the same as your paying them but they also prefer ambition and AFC have made it clear that they are happy to stay in the SSML premier of which we appriecate however and you cant blame them for wanting to play for the Top team in Dunstable. I wont go on about illegally approaching players as I know you have tried tapping up a few this season too and Remember most of the players you have had over the seasons were ours but you have got your goals and we have ours. I am right in thinking that we also put a Seven Dayer in for Mr Ryan and I informed you that we would be talking to him maybe all that drinking is affecting your memory.!!!! My phone is always on Alex as I said I prefer doing the talking face to face. Professionalism is key !!!! Lets hope we do get promoted and we can talk about you being a feeder club. uv1
Well said dog. Looking at AFC it seems that most of their players were Town players in the first place. Pot and Kettle comes to mind. Sour grapes? Edited January 10, 2013 by uv1

smellynuts
Yes can you call me because I really have lost your number, but what I can say is “what planet are you on?” The facts; I didn’t accuse you of illegal approaching anyone including BJ, but as you have made the accusation, ring me and tell me without lying that you did not ring my captain before Xmas and asked him to come over. That was after Dan Ryan turned down you generous offer, and where did I say you illegally approached him?. Don’t worry Dog because I like you I will not report it, and if I REALLY made or do make any illegal approaches then please report me because “Professionalism is key”! Let’s really discuss this one! Paying for them to go to Marbs is another lie. We can discuss also. Dog, I know Dunstable have made several approaches for our clubs to amalgamate, and I can understand that you are bitter because your management seem to keep you out of the loop when we keep turning you down, but P’Lease, us being your feeder club! Let’s also discuss. Row with committee and told players I would lose my job – again what planet? Would love to know where you get your stories but again let’s discuss. AFC have made it clear they would like to stay in the SSML? Funny that, we put in a request for promotion last season!. Our chairman is also not happy you have made that statement when their clearly is not any substance or truth to it. Dunstable Town have approached eleven of our players since pre season. Please call me Dog rather than go running already to our chairman who did put you straight on virtually all your accusations. He was trying to be polite but has already agreed everything you have said above is in the nicest possible way, BullShit! I posted comments which were not particularly derogatory to Dunstable, but was factual. Please when you post think about what you say, and at least be honest. Call me as soon as Dog, but please like me stick to facts. PS: Nice to see you have your dubious fan club, “Mr Angry” who when he posts the only thing which makes any sense is the “LOL”, - “with friends like that” comes to mind. Don’t really know your other fan who posted, but he seems a bit simple! Edited January 10, 2013 by smellynuts

bedfordman
Mr angry why call people pikeys and mugs? This is a football forum and started to return to normal after the last lot of name calling and childish insults. No one has insulted you mate, keep it to football? Youre obviously quite capable of having an interesting conversation lets stick to that?
The Dog
Mr Nuts, In response to your reply, As agreed with your Chairman who rang me and was very sensible and we both agreed that we dont air our views to all and sundry especially tit for tat shite, You worry about AFC and I will worry about DTFC its pretty simple. I understand that your upset to lose players thats football I am afraid and at times its a killer its a dog eat dog world out there, and I have no doubt if the boot was on the other foot than you would not hesitate in doing the same. May I suggest that you concentrate on finding a bigger budget than your willy would be as big as mine. Just look at football in all divisions whoever finds the Dough reaps the rewards and every small club loses thier best players it is what it is and every small club hopes that the clubs with the dough get beat but if we lose it you can have your giggle and I will take it on the chin. To be fair your a good club and you have good people but I only worry about DTFC, commercially please do not hesitate to contact me if you want some advise on raising dough its not easy. P.S As it happens I like you too XXX
