Team for tonight

A tough decision for SB tonight

What team do we play? do we put out a fairly strong team to try and get back into a habit of winning before Sat or do we play a weakened side?

Personally I would give the new players a chance and start with Martin, O'Toole and Chandhiram

My team for tonight would probably be as follows:

Jacko

Fraser Brown Bowden-Haase Murphy/Rhone

Sinclair Martin Logie Swift

O'Toole Sonner

Hopefully a good game as they have Tony Mendy and Stan Mugisha up top

Apparently we have to play 7 people who featured in our last league game (or two) so SB hands are somewhat tied. Think I would go:

Jacko

Fraser Brown NBH Murphy

Parsons Martin Logie Chandiram

O'Toole Smith

Mark I thought it was 7 players who have appeared in the last 2 league games which would mean martins team would be fine. Is that not correct? Would defo start o'toole (game time) and smith (confidence after Saturday) up front presuming of course that sonners not around.

In which case I'd put Ash Deeney in for Fraser. On the bench I would have Sinky, Fraser and Sonner/Abbey all three of whom to come on in the second half for some game time.

A reasonably entertaining game which the referee did his best to upset in the first half with multiple yellow cards. In the second half he adopted an entirely different approach and let some tackles go which should have been penalised, particularly when Hayes players were leaving a foot in. Mugisha was booked for it late on.

Good win in the end after Hayes had the better chances of the second half. They have a lot of pace in their team so were just playing through balls for people to chase. Quarter-finals next which means we have to rearrange yet another league game.

Bit of a strange game. As Ian said the ref was incredibly inconsistant across the game - after his card frenzy in the first half both managers had a word at half time. The second half was really not good from either team, our best period came in the first half of extra time when Jake got his goal, and then we saw out the win with the late penalty.

While success in the league cup is a bonus, it does mean another Tuesday game.

Got to improve quickly though with the games against Biggleswade coming up after Woodford. COYR!

Now we have reached the Quarter finals I think we can go on and do well in it

I see no reason to want to get knocked out but welcome the opportunity to play those that dont usually get the chance......the likes of Rhone and Fraser who played fairly well and will now be knocking on the door to get back into the first team.
