Southport - TOWNER
nothing less than 3 points on Tuesday evening should result in wholesale changes, players, manager, and board No one expected a great season, but relegation is not acceptable
thecoldend
I don't doubt that tomorrow night's game is important but to make 'wholesale changes' is a little bit harsh or over-reaction in my opinion.. what if we win tomorrow and lose on Saturday do we make the 'wholesale changes' then?? or for example win the next three games then lose the next three and make 'wholesale changes' then.... what if we do make changes and the team loses five games in row do we make more changes then?? It's the 21st game of the season tomorrow which marks the half-way point in the league campaign meaning there are still 21 games or 63 points to play for.... The table doesn't make good reading but on a postitive note there are only EIGHT points between us in 20th and Lewes in the relatively comfortable 11th position. I predict a win tomorrow will kickstart our season once again.
AnfieldTowner
I agree with thecoldend who always talks a lot of sense. For my part, I'll be giving the team/management/board 100% backing at Carshalton tonight. Let's get there in numbers and spur the lads on - we need a performance tonight and the players we have are quite capable of giving us one. Come on the Towners - time to turn this season around! Steph
Whilst agreeing with cold end it is clear that current performances are not good enough. We need more effort and that will only come with a more youthful squad. Steve has to find those younger players and if he cant........

Well it didn't happen, the complete lack of effort and tactics leaves us in the relagation zone YES there is time to turn it around, but not with the management team or players we have at the moment SN has had 21 games at this level to show what he and his coaching team can do and it is not good enough Now we need the board to "man up" and make some positive decisions to save this season
StoneCold
What like getting Stewart Margolis & Mike Smee in?? Lets get real for a moment, yes we aren't in the position that many of us would like but the season is far from over and we need to be getting behind the team both home & away, there is a big difference between turning up to matches, standing on the terraces and moaning about everything and standing on the terraces and cheering, signing and getting behind our team. If you were a player what would you rather be hearing?? Some comments about all these changes needed are laughable and judging by some people on here if they were Mr chairman we'd probably have had 3 managers already this season!! I think the 4-3-3 system is to open in this league and leaves us vulnerable as has been seen so often. We have 2 quality strikers in Liam & Scott, I'd like to see us revert to a 4-4-2 with a defensive, combative midfielder who sits and breaks up play with Gunz on the right & either Tyler or Jey on the left wing. We seem to be changing personnel a fair bit yet sticking with the same attacking formation.
Southport - TOWNER
Well the current team and manager aren't working, the league position doesn't lie. So we stick with what we have? I thought we wanted to stay in this league? They've had half a season and they have got us into a relagation place!! (not the supporters) So if nothing changes we can't expect the second half of the season t be any better
