Folks, as far as I know this topic wasn't hidden but i could be wrong. I've not been around much recently as I've been pretty ill last 2 weeks. Any questions about moderation should be pm'd to a mod. Happy to answer anything I can.

I'm sure he meant well and I get the impression he's done a lot for non league football over the years, but I found him a total pain in the neck to be honest and won't miss his ridiculously punctuated pissed up illogical ranting contributions in the slightest.

I've said this to Smudge's face so I'm not just being a keyboard warrior - he's great in person, I'll happily spend time with him but he can be a pain in the arse on the internet. But then I've said things that embarrass myself on forums as well.

Free speech is a myth - we've never had it and never will but you can't stop someone saying stuff just because you disagree with it. You can stop racist, homophobic and other illegal posts as mentioned in the terms and conditions of this site but I don't think Smudge was ever guilty of that.
