Feltham 2-3 Westfield

Another game and another stoppage time goal from us. Lads have a winning mentality and cannot fault their desire and effort.

The quality however was severely lacking today and the hosts could have easily walked away with all 3 points. They are decent upfront one lad in particular we struggled with all afternoon. Good news for us with Matty Steer back and he hit our equaliser with 15 left before our skipper on as sub won it with an almighty goalmouth scramble in injury time

Feltham will cause problems for teams this season and I am glad we dont have to face them again ( in a nice way)

Next week - Westfield v Frimley Green

We were unlucky not to come away with anything from this game. We have worked hard in training and it very nearly paid off, if it was not for some good saves from your goalkeeper towards the end I think we would have knicked it.

Good luck Westfield.

Up next we host Knaphill next Saturday 3pm kick off.

Very disappointing to witness in all honesty, players from both sides leaving the pitch to join the fighting in the big stand behind the goal and really spoilt what was a decent if feisty game up to that point. The officials had a bit of a task to dish cards out when order was restored several minutes later, issuing numerous yellows (presumably for leaving the pitch). Gilesy receiving a second yellow, having been booked earlier in the game. Fortunately there was no further trouble either off or on the pitch and Croydon ran out 1-0 winners.

The referee's report will probably make for very interesting reading.

Hope the League/F.A. take all necessary action.

As someone has already said, fair result at Molesey, although both teams would think they could have got a win - based on Molesey's first half performance (forced several good saves out of Tardif and were the far better side early on) and the fact that for Gsy Loaring hit the post in the 2nd half and Allen blazed over a sitter to win it late on. There wasn't much in the way of flowing football though (Molesey kept it on the floor a bit more I'd say), bit scrappy with Guernsey looking for flick ons from balls in the air.

Good game, good day out, friendly folk at Molesey

Matt123 and Green Lion. Firstly I have to agree with GL that the Molesey folk were indeed very welcoming, a decent friendly club, speaking to a few Guernsey supporters I found it hard to leave !!!.

My thoughts on this very good game which was a credit to the CCL. Molesey started the better and were on top for the first 30-35 mins with many chances created and corners where Guernsey looked very suspect, and had it not been for Tardif in the Guernsey goal, Molesey could have been 2/3 - 0 up. Gradually Guernsey got themselves into the game and for the last 10-15 mins had the most possession and created a couple of half chances themselves with the long ball over the top before half time.

Straight after half time, Guernsey broke with a speculative short which the Molesey 'keeper Young failed to hold and who was there to sweep the ball home ? - yes that bloke Ross Allen, who in fairness the Molesey defence hardly gave him a sniff but he just has a knack of scoring. Immediately after Guernsey goal, with a minute or 2, a move down Molesey left led to a crossfield ball to McShane who's half volley shot from about 20-25 yards bounced in front of Tardif which he could only push up into the net.

From there on it was quite even with both teams forcing the win having chances at both ends. Finally at the death, Allen was not so invincable when he smashed the ball over from 6 yards out, then striaght after it was Molesey turn with Ackerman's trickery creating a good chance for himslef only to be thwarted by a last ditch challenge by Guerney defender being the last of the action.

Now this is my personal neutral opinion. Overall, on chances created by Molesey early doors, I think deserved the win, but Guernseyrites will probably differ. It was however, a tight match with 2 good teams having a real go. Now I know that Guernsey haven't played for a long while, like most other clubs, but I was disappointed with Guernsey in truth. Not really sure what all the Hoo-Ha is about. They played little football and depended on the long ball, contrary to Molesey who in fairness did try and play some good football on what can be said a sticky pitch. Now I can see why Guernsey score goals 'cos they can be dangerous going forward, but in all honesty I feel their defence was poor and struggled with crosses.

Its obvious they rely on Allen and look to play at him with support from midfield, where I thought the 2 small players Rihoy and Dyer (I think) where a threat, but they seemed to play very narrow yesterday, whether it was planned or not, giving Molesey an outlet who played with width. Anyway a great day, good football, food and drink - Thank you Molesey and Guernsey FC's I will return back to Molesey some day and will definately visit Guernsey when its not so wet ;) !

Epsom & Ewell 5 Ash Utd 2

another defeat against a very decent side in Epsom. The first half very evenly balance with Epsom having the better off the chances, but not much in the teams.

2nd half......well totally different....Epsom get an early goal & well set up & taken. We then give away another & another, get a player sent off for his second bookable offence (no arguements), concede two more goal (mistakes by us) & this all in 20 minutes. We show a little spirit to pull a couple back but this maybe also as Epsom took their foot off the gas, but have no complaints about the result as Epsom played some neat & tidy football & fully deserved all the points.

We need to get some result & quickly & stop making too many basic mistakes

You're right, we certainly didn't show our best yesterday. The defence has been shakier this season, a lot of that to do with the step up i think. We are a team who seem to have an all out out attack mentality with the view that if you score two we'll just have to go and score four

In fairness though, we were missing Sam Cochrane, who is our main CB and captain, and our two main CMs Ryan-Zico Black, who helps us keep possession and play nicer football, and Gus Mackay who is more defensive and makes us more solid. Two big losses in our midfield but hey ho, we'll just have to get by. Kieran mahon is improving and When Cochrane is back Le prevost will probably fill in in CM, he is very good on the ball. Mahon was the only recognised CM in the team yesterday. Dyer, loaring, rihoy and heaume are all far more attacking players by nature

Was very impressed with the molesey defence. Their number 5 and keeper kept things very well organised

I think Ash will be fine postie, I thought the first half was pretty even, the game was decided in the first 15 minutes of the second half,Ash started slowly and Epsom took all 3 of there early chances, after that it was game over, but fair play to the Ash players who kept going even though they went 5-0 down and had a man sent off,big one next week for Epsom when they go to Badshot Lea

I was very impressed with molesey yesterday, I agree the 5 was solid, always communicating and demanding!

I was also impressed with molesey number 8, skill full playmaker but also full of energy.

Would like to see Ross Allen play again as he was kept quiet for most of the game!

Bobuk the bearer of glad tidings ! I'm happy with those results.

We're even more happy with those results! We were superb for a large period of the second half, but at half time scoreless was a fair result.

I said earlier in the season something about one more central midfielder would give us a squad capable of making the top three. Then what happens? Carl Downs returns to the team and we are now third! We now have options across the squad, which probably makes for a very difficult selection process, but that's not my concern!

I fully accept that other teams around us have games in hand, but as Egham will tell you there in no substitute for points in the bag, and a draw for them next week makes them favourites for the title in my opinion. Five straight wins for us, the last three by at least three goals gives us some confidence going into a very tough set of fixtures (Badshot Lea (A), Wembley (H), Windsor (H), South Park (H), Bedfont Sports (A)) and if we come out the other side of those unscathed then maybe we will be considered worthy challengers with the others up there.

As a supporter of the club, I'm very happy right now :D

Come say hello bad guy if you make it to casuals , I'm.the fat bloke kicking balls at the keeper well trying anyway

Nutty sorry I did not say hello, I arrived just after half time. Watched Walton Casuals narrowly lost again, but think they can turn their woes around from what I saw. Not too sure if T&M goal tho' They got a big 6pointer with 3 Bridges shortly, that could prove their fate !

If I go to Riverside again Nutty, I will let you know. Nice tidy club.but atmosphere was a bit dull not surprisingly.
