Are you people insanely thick or what ? The bet does not conclude untill the end of the season-and if at least one of you had a brain or memory you would remember that I was at a wedding that arranged day.Further more being a darn sight cleverer than you numbskulls I covered my bet at good odds that we will go up so I CANT LOSE ANYWAY--I knew full well no one would bet or pay up-god I have given you months to save up................

Thank you for your lovely reply.

The bet was going to be ratified at a game by handshake between you and Ian.

So far this has NOT taken place

Therefor the bet is not yet ratified, it is just words on a computer screen that MAY or MAY NOT be honoured

I hope you have a really good new year with lots of time to think up more gracious replies to myself and fellow members

As this betting fiasco is starting to cause some unrest, here is a piece that can allow some serious debate!, what do you think?

With your resources and fan base Slough are always going to be a bigger budget side than Beaconsfield, Slough are a big name in non-league football with a great past. Beaconsfield on the other hand will always be the underdogs and thats why considering where they finished the season before last, which was bottom, the last two years they have more than over acheived, exceeding everyone's expectations !

Slough have reached the play-offs in the last four years yet failed to gain promotion, this has got to be viewed as failure surely, as on paper there has been no improvement at the end of each season, as the main objective promotion not being reached !

As for knocking Beaconsfields " sycobs superb home support", which hasn't affected the "RAMS" success on the field. I think you should be concerned with your diminishing crowds, a quick look at the attendances for our games against each other over the recent years has seen a sharp decline in Slough fans. After waiting years for your new ground, wouldn't it be ironic to hear away fans chant " YOUR GROUNDS TOO BIG FOR YOU, YOUR GROUNDS TOO BIG FOR YOU"!

C'MON YOU RAMS.

Actually the money was to be handed over straight away and held by the Trust. Call me old fashioned but I don't make bets with anonymous people. If they aren't even prepared to own up to their posts on a forum I don't have much confidence they won't renege on the agreement?

If people have the balls however to show up and make the bet in person in front of the players they so readily criticise from behind a keyboard then that's a different matter. I know, Gary, you'll be on hand to record it on camera for the website and programme.

Considering so many below par performances from us I think a point was a very good result in the circumstances.

I think SYCOB got their tactics spot on and we didn't.

What's this with Woozie pushing up so often? to the point where he was almost playing left wing.

SYCOB got the ball forward to their front two very quickly often catching Woozie and our midfield out of position pushing too far forward hence putting our remaining back line under a lot of pressure creating quite a few chances which luckily they didn't take.

Thought Woozley did well pushing forward.Just didn't think Joe Chandiram quite knew what position he was playing. He looked better going forward than he did defending. He seemed brighter when he was pushed into centre midfield. I thought we missed Danny Murphy,as he has energy to burn on the left and fits defensive duties well when Wooz pushes up.

SYCOB were beatable but Slough didn't get at them enough in the second half. To Sycob's credit they hurried and hustled from the off and Jim Melvin [beaconsfield's coach] kept shouting to his players to close down the ball and not let Slough play their passing game.It worked to good effect in the first half but we began to find a bit of space in the second half.Disappointingly Jake Parsons on the right seemed too deep at times and Dominic Rhone's introduction as sub didn't work as well as it could have done either.

Two points dropped in my opinion,as Slough have harder teams to beat yet but least we didn't lose.

Yes, Woozie does ok when he goes forward as a type of wing-back but up to recently it's been in moderation and mainly when we've been on top or chasing a game.

On Saturday, especially first half, we were being closed down and being caught on the counter attack and Woozie was still rampaging forward at every opportunity when our defence were struggling to contain SYCOB.

As far as I'm aware Joe Chandiram is a left sided mid-fielder and seemed to have the measure of the SYCOB right back when he took him on. It looked like on Saturday he was doing the covering for Woozie which just seemed a little odd the way the game was panning out.

Pleased you appreciated my reply, but one has to resort to the moronic outburst we seem to get on here.WHERE DID YOU GET THIS IDEA ABOUT HANDSHAKES AND PHOTOS BEING TAKEN-seems alot of you have poor memories and make it up as you go along-we even had a suggestion from Ian that Brown should be a witness WHY is that meant to intimidate me ?There's always a mention about giving the money to the SLOUGH TRUST - I am afraid Slough Town FC have had more money and effort out of me than you could dream about-so I don't need to be told whether i am a supporter or not.
