cufc
from what I heard its he's last season as gaffer because struggling to get players and I've played under lee at padbury when he was our coach but I don't know why u struggle to get players when ur facilities are fantastic and lee has so much football knowledge Nor do I...... In my own opinion, the football club also made the abysmal decision to remove the reserve side from the South Mids, the year they won Res Div 2. I used to see young players acclimatising to mens football in the reserves before making the step up. You automatically remove this opportunity by putting the reserve team in a local league. It should be a source to tap into to both bring players in to bulk the squad and to reward players improving. Anyway, that's a separate subject, but need to highlight as it is a factor when struggling for players
cufc
struggle to get players when ur facilities are fantastic and lee has so much football knowledge Sorry, just to add, Lee has no playing budget at all from the club. I know we lost one of our best players over the past few seasons to you and he is picking up money. You can't blame the players, you just have to say fair play to your chairman for giving you the backing needed to try and push on.

tringarmy
Anyone going to Leighton Town vs Aylesbury today? Am heading down for the second half if I can get some jobs done first.
Gruntfuttock
So it would seem that following his huge success at Ampthill Craig Bicknell is set to be appointed the manager at Leighton Town in the Southern League! (Quite a step up and challenge for him I would say with no playing budget!)... However assuming he does who will go to Ampthill.. Surely they will lose there best players who have always been loyal to Bicknell, so will surely follow to Leighton... I wonder if Lee Bearman, (Cranfield) could be in the frame... Surely he deserves a shot at a club that will back him more than Cranfield? Any other names in the frame? I wonder what Cranfield United have to say about this post? Who say's they don't back him? They certainly will not want to lose him. If you want to speculate about such things it would be interesting to see who may want to take his place. tringarmy
Anyone going to Leighton Town vs Aylesbury today? Am heading down for the second half if I can get some jobs done first. Who ever gets the job has some work to do ! Leighton 3-2 up when I got there just after half time with both sides down to 10 men. Pretty much one way traffic in the second half with Aylesbury running out 5-3 winners. Some SSML interest in the game. Former TAFC players Mark Burfoot & Neil Roberts both in the home starting XI plus Jack Copson & Sam Mazurek but they only played a couple of times for Tring. Sean Bishop who left Totternhoe last season also played. Leighton looked pretty chaotic at the back from what I saw & it could have been more convincing. Neil Roberts has been playing fairly regularly for Aston Clinton this year in Div 2 and scored against Aylesbury's reserves in the thumping on Saturday. Last I had heard Burfs was at Leverstock Green last season but certainly didn't look like he'd been keeping himself fit recently, someone thought he'd been playing in the West Herts. http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/leightontown/news/town-chairman-calls-for-time-a-808658.html

Winslow Boy
Coulter, Taylor, Lester, Micky Lyons (been a very good performer in southern prem for seasons) McKenzie too has played above that level before. Would think prob one or two others could make a fist of it.
A.nonymous
Surprising he will be leaving Ampthill to go to Leighton. My honest opinion is he won't be there long. I have relatives that live in Leighton Buzzard and play at the tennis club where Leighton Town play as well and apparently according to my uncle, at the Sports Association meeting the funding for Leighton Town is going to be reduced and they may find themselves in serious financial difficulties. What does this mean for Aylesbury United?

lee bearman
I thought I would sign up again after probably a year not posting anything just to put this topic to bed regarding me personally .I am currently manager at Cranfield United if in fact i was asked to either get involved with Ampthill Town or Leighton Town with respect Neither would interest me at all.I would like to thank the nice comments about myself and if anyone wants to ask ME about Cranfield then if I feel appropriate I will be happy to answer any questions rather than people guessing.(Winslow boy the new Rhodes) lol happy new year.Lee Bearman Edited January 2, 2013 by lee bearman
