Part Time
So it would seem that following his huge success at Ampthill Craig Bicknell is set to be appointed the manager at Leighton Town in the Southern League! (Quite a step up and challenge for him I would say with no playing budget!)... However assuming he does who will go to Ampthill.. Surely they will lose there best players who have always been loyal to Bicknell, so will surely follow to Leighton... I wonder if Lee Bearman, (Cranfield) could be in the frame... Surely he deserves a shot at a club that will back him more than Cranfield? Any other names in the frame?

Winslow Boy
Good on CB and the players that go if so. Not sure without him Ampthill would have any 'backing' they didn't before. A lot of people talk highly of Lee Bearman so could be a shout. Mr Cain over at Stony could also fancy it. CB may well be able to bring some backing in to Leighton. Be a great move in my opinion even if he can't save them from relegation they would be faves to come back up and given grading etc may not get relegated on that basis. Good luck I say and what a brilliant challenge SL would be.
gaffer cain
Me and Craig are like brothers he's the one that got me the stony job and has helped me in my football carer so far this season so I wish him all the best but its great news for him and me as all the players that don't go with him will go with me as where all a big family so quite excited and if he don't go no problem I will in joy watching when I can them doing great things in the prem

Part Time
And I guess the Ampthill Job would then be a very tough one to come into... Especially after the success of CB there.. Although there is an FA Vase 4th round match on the horizon of course!

Winslow Boy
it would be tough but I can't see him leaving this season would you I hear that but if they really want him I would say for an ambitious guy it could be a move hard to say no to. A step up in league, set up and size of club. I'm sure it would be tough for him to leave as its all going so well there but I imagine Leighton will want to act fast as I would in their shoes it'd be a good job for an up and coming manager. cufc
Lee has already been offered jobs in the Southern league, but has so far turned them down. He wouldn't just move for the sake of being a Southern league manager. He would want the right budget to be available to take the whole club forwards, something that less and less clubs have nowadays unfortunately. There are so many managers around here that go from club to club, making little impact and not really leaving any legacy. I don't think Lee wants to be another name in a list that no-one remembers. Back to Cranfield, Lee lives a few hundred yards away from the ground, and it's safe to say he spends more time there than at home. You don't need to ask where all of the First Team sponsorship money is going either. Take a look around the club. Over the past couple of seasons we have seen new benches, new goals, seating in the stand and various advertising boards. That's just the visual things that are obvious. Easy to speculate about where the money comes from, but it is Lee, with the aid of very few others, that is striving to move the club forwards BUFC
