Neil Baker
I have to say that football on New Years Day has become second nature t o me, having always watched my Dad or played myself... I love it, and has always given me the opportunity not to get ripped off at a pub/club that I would go to every weekend in the year only to then be charged on New Years Eve (one of my pet hates) Hopefully we will be on at Fleet tomorrow, and if so am pretty sure our lads are having a few beers tonight with friends/family but going sensible. You can still go out have a good evening and play football the next day, just make sure you take it easy and are in bed by a reasonable time, I remember doing that at the age of 19 for Farnborough, I had a great night in Fleet then a great day by beating Woking. Anyway good luck to everyone for the coming year, and hope you all achieve what you set out to achieve.
SurreysFinest
I agree Bakes tradition for me although I used to get all the family together to go to the game when I was playing Boxing and New Years Day, rest of the players did the same and made for a great day and evening in the bar. Mark-Tommo
Agreed Bakes, but at some point in terms of management it wouldn't have been second nature. So give a though to us first time youngsters ;-)
