Cookie
Thanks Jeff & Don.Strangely enough I didnt think Stubbsy was as hot in December as he was in the previous month when he received the award. But its opinions like yours that help the sponsor decide if he or she hasn't already made their mind up. I'm not the sponsor this month so I can give my views too. I thought once again Craig Holloway was magnificent in goal. Havent seen him have a poor game all year let alone during the month of December. He made some miraculous saves again especially that one v Cray. He surely is the finest keeper we have seen in a Margate shirt for a long while. Phil Starkey comes into the reckoning also I feel as he has shown excellent consistency this month. Goes about his business quietly and efficiently in his defencive duties. He will be even better when Sam Long returns as we will see more of his forward play then also. John Beales similarly consistent in his play as always and Richard Avery had a decent month in midfield. Mark Corneille deserves a mention too. Did a good job during the month as did Matt Bodkin. Matt was shortlisted for last months award and he has followed up Novembers good form with yet another outstanding December. Best player on the park v Cray yet surprisingly (or not surprisingly) substituted. He was the only one on the day that was really causing Cray problems. Finally Alex Rhodes who turned two games round from the subs bench yet sadly didnt perform too good given a start next up. Consisent? maybe not but he had a say in a couple of games during the month and its never easy sitting on that bench, coming on and making an immediate impact and then to transfer that form into a 90 minute game. Having said that the Cray game & the conditions it was played in didn't help many of the players on the day. Sadly I can't name a forward this month in my nominations but I'm sure their time will come but improvement and more consistency is required in that area I feel in order to get onto my list of nominations Those would be my nominations. dflman
Close thing between Stubbs, Bodkin and Holloway for me - bu that backheel sticks in my memory so Matt Bodkin would be my choice
Blue Banshee
like that someone else noted Starkey has been making his presence felt, Corneille Stubbs and Bodkin have been great and Holloway has proved we have one of the best keepers in the league - yet again! Blackz
Would definitely go with Bodkin, been brilliant all month & that back heel against Carshalton was the icing on the cake. Genius.

Always Gate
CH for me, made many vital saves. Lots of others have made contributions but CH was the man who stopped the opposition scoring.
