Egham 2 Sandhurst 1 oh my god we should have won easy their keeper has had an absolute worldy,so many good saves and not that bad finishing by us, but hey thats what happens when you need the points things never seem to go for you, spoke to Pass (Egham manager)and he said we should of won,the fight and determination that was shown by us was 1st class and on this performance we can look forward to the rest of the season, also met Padlock today what a lovely guy.

Firstly nice to meet you at last Duncs. Everything they say about you is true ;). Bit shy on the tea round also. My take on the game is that after the first 10 mins I thought Sandhurst were in for a whipping. Slowly but confidently the fizzers came into the game with in particular the 10 trying to muster up team morale at every opportunity. For me he should be skipper as the lad with the armband is not voiceferous enough however has a nice range of passing in his locker. The two pronged attack for Egham was always lively and if it were not for some courageous defending at corners and a little more composure from the Egham players they could of gone 2 up inside the first 20 mins. They did take the lead with a delightful lob but question marks over the midfield of Sandhurst who IMO were far too close to eachother in the first half. Second half saw a much more determined fizzers who decided to keep their shape and press the ball higher up the pitch. They soon drew level and if it were not for some top drawer saves from the Egham keeper would of had more. The game then started to get a little tasty and with the pissing rain tackles I think should be given that little extra forgiveness but the ref should a few cards today including a red for Egham with what I was told was a two footer. Sandhurst conceded a free kick out wide and from it the Egham 10 scored a header at the far stick. The Lino then flagged for an off the ball scuffle so the free kick was retaken. Well de ja vu the exact same thing occurred whereby the 10 scored at the far stick with his swede. Got to be disappointed with that I would say. Still time for another two footer this time from fizzers on the Egham winger. No red though to the anger of the Egham faithful. Full time and considering the journey and weather I enjoyed myself. Note for Salv the fizzers gaffa. Mate you need to calm down and focus on giving direction to your team. You look like you have been in the game long enough to know that the Lino does not always get it right but will prob get more wrong if you continually berate him. Stand out players for me were the Egham skipper and his central defensive partner. Very strong and distribution tidy. Egham 7 technically clever little player with a pair for a tackle. Sandhurst 10 for his commitment and battling qualities. I think Dalts played as was subbed late on. Thought he played better second half but IMO was one of the midfield who couldn't get the shape together in the first half. Happy new year to all.

Padlock.

Thought we deserved something today but that's football, when your up there and top uget that extra little luck.agree with you there padlock was quieter in the first half as I naturally wanted to drop deep.but second half pushed on,that's probably y the shape was a bit dis organised and overloaded.if we dig in and keep playing like that it will only get better.think reedy is different gear for them.

Fair play pal. Did come to say hi but you slipped off down the tunnel to get changed. Catch up next time. Scuse me but due to no programme didn't know most names if any. Who is reedy for Egham ? Skipper I would say.

Padlock. Appreciate the above in terms of a third party opinion on the game. I was the younger guy in the Sandhurst technical area ;). Today was the first time that we have played the formation that was asked of them and I 100% agree that it took our MF a little while to get to grips with the way we wanted the formation to work, when they did I thought we managed to play some good football resulting in some decent balls into the area and had it not been for their keeper could easily of got our heads in front. as for their first goal, whilst it was a lovely little lob I do think that our cover should have been better. All in all Salv and teh rest of us are disappointed in the result but very happy with the way in which the young group of players we have at Sandhurst applied themselves and put in a very decent shift. And continue to grow as a team week on week. We need to continue to show the attitude we did today and learn from our needless mistakes. never any harm in looking at what our oppositions did better and learn.

Thought their number 7 and keeper where their best players on today's performance, I'm not sure the sending off was two footed, although studs where up and wasnt 100% pretty.

Did you meet inthebox or is he gonna keep everyone guessing as to who he is.I see he hasn't been as complimentary as you have about todays game on your Forum.

Duncs, did meet Elnino though,if Sandhurst had 11 players like him, they would win the League.Add in what a nice young man he was too.

Really good win for us at Afc croydon today, can't believe how good the pitch was given the rain we've had lately. Could have been more than 2-1 too but hey will take that three points any day. South Kilburn away next which will be tough but we're capable of giving anyone a game at the moment.

I think you are Jamie, Scotty. I saw that your lads worked extremely hard for eachother and I don't recall anyone getting on their team mates backs which is a rarity these days and very refreshing. Yes you peppered their area during the second half but I would say that your front line is a little light weight for that type of aerial battle. If you are rebuilding at Sandhurst I would say its going ok in terms of spirit and commitment but defo be looking for at least 4 players and a stronger bench. You may well of had players missing also through injury or suspension. I have seen at least 6 poorer teams than you this season so would predict that you finish up the table in say 16th place with 40 points. G

Milf Hunter - we dont pretend to be world beaters.... simply trying to improve week on week, and as you point out the Westfield performance is as good as any to use as the low point. Make it a hatrick of games Milf and see what you think.... remeber though we dont pretend to be world beaters...but we are a team...

Got to congratulate Salv in turning round Sandhurst performances, I don't know the man, but I spoke to him a couple of times in the past two months and his desire to turn the season around is commendable. He's worked tiredlessly in trying to attract players to the club and I hope he keeps them up.

Padlock, Reedy is James Read, our 10. Our Skipper is Arran Taylor-Ives, who was our 4. Nice, balanced summary. I am more biased - if Louis Chandler-Joseph's challenge was worthy of a red then the same has to apply to the lunge on Tommy Hedges. Hedges is surely the most fouled player in the CCL! Not a great performance today but that's another win.

Watched the 3 baggy lea goals Trev then turned it off, well done to the lad if he scored twice but thats no consolation to Camberley as its another defeat at Krooner Park, this place has been a fortress in the last 4 seasons and now everyone is coming and taking points left right and centre,at this stage they need to win their home games and it don't matter(as a manager) who scores even if it goes in off the club cat I wouldn't care less.
