All Surrey Elite league games off except those at Virginia Water (10am inspection) and Battersea Ironsides.

Met Police v Lowestoft off which is rare for Imber Court!

Whilst I appreciate the logistics for the opposing team, I believe that the early pitch inspection could well get caught out by the forthcoming rain, should the appropriate pitches just pass the pitch inspection. As late as possible with the pitch inspection would deem the better option, it could avoid the opposing team arriving only for the game to be called off.

Or could it be a matter of going thru' the normal correct procedure knowing full well the game will be postponed for the early inspections ?

I was thinking just that. At least several pictures are borderline, with it looking now that the rain won't come until about mid-day -- and the strong winds I'm hearing outside would help with drying out until then.

'My' game is subject to a pitch inspection at 1030 hrs. If it passes, and it subsequently starts hammering down at around mid-day, I'll just head down to the club as early as possible to monitor the pitch.
