I am surprised. anyone walking around the Town today would not help but notice the amount of standing water on grass... the ground is sodden.

Saying that, It wouldn't surprise me that Chelmsford would do a "Dover". Make the decision as late as possible, get as many into the ground, and then if the game cannot be started or finished, arrange a "half cocked" keep your ticket and you'll be admitted to the re arranged game (and we all know how well THAT went don't we Dover).

Brains and commen sense sometimes doesn't walk hand in hand in football. Inspect the pitch, take into consideration of the weather forecast (in this case rain from 1pm, torrential for about 2 hours from between 2 and 3pm) and make a decision (actually, I doff my hat to Eastleigh... They have the forethought to actually do that).

Ah well, I am leaving my journey for about 1.30pm as I would be surprised the game will be on and I have no wish to give anything than the minimum amount of my hard earned coin to the "lodgers".

Oh, I forgot one important part of the process. Keep yours and the away support informed. Unfortunately just like Dover, another BBB club, Chelmsford City FC appear to skip this part.

...perhaps, with no home game since November, they really do need to screw as much hard earned coin out of us.

I'd have thought with it being a local-ish game they'd leave the pitch inspection as late as possible knowing away fans didn't have to travel so far. Also, it'll take them a while to make the trek from the clubhouse all the way to the pitch...

Come on Billericay!
