Possible help needed

It is likely, with the weather forecast that the pitch will be quite wet over the next few days.

If needed, the club would like as many people down there at 10am Christmas Eve to remove any water off the pitch.

The forecast is wet until then but I think Xmas day and Boxing Day look ok at he moment.

Please bring a fork or something equivalent if possible

Thanks

Sorry but I shall be "hors de combat" down at King George's having a biopsy on my male bits, probably won't be up to any "forking" for a day or so.

Depends when it stops,it is quite light at the moment. If it was to stop this afternoon then I guess there's a chance, also, surely being a 1pm kick off and it was dry, there would be some scope to put the kick off back to 3pm,or even later if there's a chance of getting it on,although to be honest,I have given up on looking at he weather reports

Early pitch inspection would be good like 8 or 9am or even better if the groundsman thinks no chance get a local ref in later today if at all possible, as people will travel from being at families etc. Cant see them putting the kick off back on a boxing day when lots of fans make plans to be at Family after aswell.

Bearing in mind Saturday was a wash out and the rain has been worse. We are probably looking at a 1 or 2% chance of the game going ahead in my opinion.

Absolutely no point In getting a referee down there today, seeing as the two clubs are about 15 miles apart,I wouldn't expect an announcement until a referee has officially looked at the pitch at around 9-10am.

I think its the duty of the clubs to try to get a game on which means as much time as possible if it is felt there is a chance of getting the game on.

My gut feeling is that its a lost cause but I wouldn't call I off before tomorrow, unless it was completely under water which It may be,although I haven't been down there.

As for people travelling from far say, appreciate that but in all fairness,it wouldn't be many people and they will probably be coming home anyway
