Caught the game at Aston Clinton V Aylesbury FC reserves, rain throughout apart from last ten minutes, pitch held up well. Aston went on to win 9-1 after 3-1 at half time. I believe Aylesbury had 2/3 first team players amongst the team with their game postponed.

Large crowd of about 50, not bad for a div 2 game considering the conditions. It was actually 8-1, but could have been a lot more. Perhaps Aylesbury should have done what they did at Risborough a few weeks back and fielded a few more first teamers

It's unreal isn't it, the game survived the weather only to be abandoned due to floodlight failure

Yeh must have been counting the raindrops or icicles on my gloves. Considering the conditions the game played well. Would the outcome be much different, yeh I suppose so but Aston did look more up for it. I got there for a 13-15 kick off but only Aston out warming up, didn't kick off till 13-30. 1-0 within the first couple of minutes. I was wondering if AFC had turned up.

I was told the game will be re-played.

 

After the Oxhey Jets groundmen did a great job getting the game played it was the floodlights that beat us

 

Which means we will now play them at least 6 times this season.

 

I thought it was a even game. R.Pither got our goal.
