The Mayor Of Simpleton
Just spotted this on NLM. Might be of interest to those wondering what the leagues might look like next season: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApThHwWP3onIdFhVdmloUFFwdnFUTVNmS0twZlpZVnc#gid=0 Yateley Green to come into the Combined Counties family? AllStar
Looking at the CCL Premier next year.. Eversley would be straight back down. If they get promoted it'll be a nightmare season for them

danielpjn
Long way to go to achieve promotion first AllStar. Fairly certain nobody at the club is thinking about next season, when we've not even halfway through December. How do you think MVSCR will do if they achieve promotion? AllStar
Depends on fitness, who stays and goes .. I've noticed they haven't had a consistent squad a lot so injuries aside I think they'd be ok in the prem mid-table if you look at the likes of Chessington, Sandhurst, Dorking etc. Saying that I only watched the MVSCR game where they beat you 6-0 so it my have just been an off game for you! danielpjn
We were very poor that day. Didn't take our early chances and then got punished. Strengthened the midfield since then,so hopefully we'll give you a decent game at your place later in the season
spy
I'll ask the same question as when the topic of Guernsey entering the league first broke. How the hell are they going to be accepted into the Ryman. It would be impossible to complete their fixtures without midweek home games and how many sides will vote them in knowing that if they have to go over there midweek they will almost certainly be doing so with weakened sides owing to work / family commitments. VPCTFC
Just spotted this on NLM. Might be of interest to those wondering what the leagues might look like next season: https://docs.google....twZlpZVnc#gid=0 Yateley Green to come into the Combined Counties family? You have to bear in mind the projections on NLM are purely guesswork and how things could look with some rejigging such as Dorking Wanderers to the CCL and Croydon to the Kent League. The one you've linked to moves Guildford City to the Isthmian League whereas the other one doing the rounds on there keeps them in the Southern League. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvGjWzMyDXjsdDZ1RjdVVC1YRWJpM2tRaTBNMWJFZ1E#gid=0 Someone who follows Yateley Green has said they would like to get into the CCL but with the FA clampdown on ground gradings I can't see this happening until they get floodlights. At the moment the only floodlit club in the Surrey Elite is Old Farnboronians. They applied to join the CCL in the past but were turned down as, if I remember correctly, their application was in too late and the FA deemed it was too big a jump as they were in the Aldershot Senior League at the time which is one step below the Surrey Elite. Now the Elite has official step 7 status any of the top five teams can get promoted so Old Farnboronians may stand a chance if they apply this season. And then there's Abbey Rangers to look out for in the future. They've just upgraded the lights at their place but it's not clear from their website if they're just training lights or whether they're suitable for league matches. Wattsy
And then there's Abbey Rangers to look out for in the future. They've just upgraded the lights at their place but it's not clear from their website if they're just training lights or whether they're suitable for league matches. I live opposite Abbey Moor where they play and they only have training lights which is the upgrade. They use to be horrible orangey lights, not they have that nicer bluey tinge to them. Unless they have portable ones for a main pitch, but I highly doubt that!
E&E Rich
But would Guernsey need to be voted in? Surely now they are part of the Pyramid they should be treated like any other team and promoted if they meet the criteria? I mentioned this a couple of weeks back. Did Guildford need a vote of the Southern League clubs before they moved up last year, or Chertsey or North Greenford before them? Of course not. Guernsey will (if promoted) be placed where the FA want, and the clubs they play will just have to deal with it. I am assuming that it would be Ryman Div 1 South because of the Gatwick link, but technically, any of the step four leagues could take them, as it would just involve another 15-30 minutes on a plane. However, the issues relating to midweek fixtures will no doubt continue to provide controversy.

mal316
If I remember rightly, at each leagues AGM the new league constitution is presented to the existing members who have to agree that before any new clubs can take part.

Wrong, when the F.A. Direct a Club to a League, the Clubs have no say.It happened with Windsor.
