HKP
Should switch the fixture to Guernsey, conditions much milder here. Currently +5 and sunny.
E&E Rich
Just an aside. We did a 40 page programme for this game and if anyone wishes to buy one it will cost £2 plus p&p which is £1 for up to two progs, but I'd need to look at rates for larger orders especially to the island. Just email on richard.c.lambert@virgin.net if interested.

If we'd switched the League game on 3rd November to Epsom we'd have got them both in
HKP
Yep sod's law. Postage to Guernsey should not cost anymore as far as I am aware.

eefc supporter
Tsk Krooner what would you want to be doing winding my friend up now. To pre empt the inevitable Guernsey debate on this we were faced with a tricky one here today . The conditions and the forecast -1 to -3 in Chipstead tonight with a chance of fog meant we were facing one of those touch and go situations whereby we either get the game on just or get a late postponement. That would have gone down well . Guernsey needed a decision by 12.00 to prevent them from flying . Now I am one of those supportive of having Guernsey in the league .There are complications but they can be overcome .This is one of those complications which was bound to come up one of those iffy possible frozen pitch evenings. Clearly because its Guernsey we've had to do the decision making slightly different to more local opponents . Some may say that's unfair but on balance I prefer it to having caused a lot of people a lot of inconvenience if it had to be a late postponement. Chris Clapham
Knowing Chipstead (and Banstead) grounds, you have definitely made the right decision. It's cold at those grounds in August!!!

You could have left it as late as you wanted today and the game would have still been called off. I live not far from Chipstead and the ground is frozen and even with a slight thaw for a couple of hours it would have frozen again before kick off A sensible decision to call it off early and I would have thought that others could do likewise today

Agree with what you have posted, it is no different to if it was a Vase match and the team were travelling from up North on a long coach journey. Common sense has prevailed.
