FA Vase Fourth Round Proper

Good draw for Ampthil certainly a game they can win especially at home.

Good draw for Ampthill - how about Ashington' 900 mile round trip to Bodmin Town? Plenty of other North v South ties with big mileages too.

Dunston and Whitley Bay having too to travel from the North East down to Kent and Suffolk respectively.....and guess worse for the home clubs if the games are drawn then a midweek replay, LOL 900 odd mile round trip midweek, guess there'd have to be some very understanding employers should that happen

Gordon Boeteng is the Enfield 1893 supremo these days so it certainly won't be a cakewalk

I'm sure Dunstable Town thought the same, although they were away

I didn't say it was easy just a good draw when you factor in home element and the strength of some of the sides they avoided. Dunstable so far been best side in SSML Prem and Enfield beat them. No disrespect intended in my post just a dispassionate outside view, a decent draw and a game they can believe they can win. I'm sure Enfield feel its a good draw too

I'm sure that if they had to be drawn away, then a more local tie rather than a long trek north or south, would have been the more preferable outcome.

Enfield were complete dross when we played them in the FA Cup at the start of the season, but they must have improved a fair bit to have beaten Dunstable!
