Get off his back

Spot on young Urchin Man, no one is doubting his effort, its his ability and current form that we are questioning. The argument that he could have scored 8 goals doesn't cut it either as far as I'm concerned. Its he's actual return of 2 goals in 12 appearances that you have to judge. I honestly think this Saturday has to be Andy's last chance to prove himself in the starting 11. To play him against Darlington, where we may possibly have only a few decent chances to score, in the form he is currently in, would not be a good idea. We'd need a striker to put away his chances, the form Andy is showing doesn't fill me with any confidence that he could do that.

Not Jonah yet, as he's still on his way back from injury. The problem playing Allen behind the front two would mean we'd have to change our formation. I don't think you could play two wide men and the attacking midfielder in the same team, as effectively that would leave just one holding midfielder. Probably would go for Taffy, but Allen is a class player and it would be hard to leave him out. I'd give Douglas one more game this weekend in the starting line up and play him up front with Taffy.

Once your a highly regarded manager like GB then u can make ur rash decisons both strikers havent their fall of luck in scoring but on paper Jon has only scored 1 more than Douggie.

No one scored against Paulton does that mean they have all had their chances and not done it.

I am the biggest fan of Vinnie but "Tom G" was making a good point which was (how it seems to me anyway)that a Striker is their to score goals and that Dougie is only being beaten by one goal.

If a striker comes in who is better than Dougie and performs better in Training (something that most of us fans don't get to see)then i'm all for them playing. But Taffe for me is no better , Bradley Allen is someone who should play in the Paul Scholes role (but would mean adapting the formation), Jonah has only just got back in training and isn't 100% fit, Tony Maynard for me is a bright prospect but must be nurtured well.

I'm in Paris for the Wingate match talking to a forward for Uncle Urchin called Thierry Henry so i am expecting to see the usual slagging offs of "The Doug" even if he gets a HatTrick. You should be happy if he proves you WRONG not annoyed !!

As The post was started "get off his back" !
