Blues 2 Bath 0

Recommended Posts

The result was positive or negative depending on your point of view.  The performance from every player was above average to great, purely from a nuetral perspective, depending on the individuals perception.

Hopefully that is drab and unoffensive enough so toys will stay in prams.

Brilliant James - surely you cannot have upset anyone this time ?????

I am going to stick my neck out and highlight outstanding performances from Jay May, Rob Swaine and Dave Collis, to name but three.

First half was a bit drab and only rescued by Dave Collis superbly claiming the ball and picking out Jay May for the opener. Second half was better but I felt we invited Bath to take the initiative and were lucky they were unable to find the final ball. Once again captain fantastic eased our nerves with another fine header.

I am sure the gaffer will evaluate individual performances and this result will allow him to continue to develop the Team . COYB

How dare you have an opinion that people might disagree with and then post it on a public forum!

I agree with everything you've written there.

I take my hat off to the gaffer for changing things, it worked very well.

I think Joe Benjamin should have a shirt like mine. with "Don't F@ck with me" on the back.

The lad's and supporters really needed that win today. fair play to all concerned. What a great club.

A vital three points for us yesterday which I think demonstrates we are as good as most of the sides in this division.

Not a pop at anyone but the recent biblical rain has left the pitch bottomless. There's not much we can do as it's clay underneath but hopefully well get the promised frosts to firm it up a bit.

When I saw their team I did fancy us as they looked a bit lightweight and so it proved as we played the conditions much better than them.

Agree Swainey was back to something like his best but for me the most significant performance was from Collis who played the holding midfield role really well and amplified what we have been missing in that area recently.

Great to get "back on the bike". Well done lads! COYB!!

Three very hard earned points. Defensively we were much better with the new full back Rogers looking to be a good aquisition.

It's amazing what a win does, I felt we played just as well last week but against better opposition.

Even our new fan seemed satisfied with the players effort.

Well done chaps and as jl said it's great to be "back on the bike" after a tough few weeks.

Don't worry about calling me 'The', go with my middle name...

Back to the conversation. Hopefully the club will close the roof and give the pitch a few days off of the poor weather in time for the games against Eastbourne and someone else...

Thought it was vital to get a win under our belts after a tough run of games, and all credit to the lads for making it happen. Not our most spectacular performance, especially in the first half, but I though we were deserving of the win. Nice to get a rare clean sheet as well.

Though Collis and Rogers had very good games, and well done to Jay for getting back on the scoresheet,

Tricky away tie up next, but no reason we cant get a positive result out of it

New Lodger,Have you applied to the club for a position in community liaison?

That's what we do over here Mr Troll, we debate and exchange opinions. When I posted on the Upminster forum and made you look particularly stupid what did you do ? Edited my posts with sexual taunts, very adult.

I have brought many friends and family to New Lodge and will continue to do so but when a newbie with commitment issues questions the commitment Billericay Town players who have shown time and again unquestioned commitment I will take issue.
