11/12 - Guildford City - 5 games lost

10/11 - Guildford City - 3 games lost

09/10 - North Greenford - 4 games lost

08/09 - Bedfont Green - 4 games lost

07/08 - Merstham - 1 game lost

06/07 - Chipstead - 7 games lost

Of course the Champions are already decided - but can they go up with their ground grading issues? March 31st is looming fast.

Other Clubs will cling to the possibility of promotion from 2nd place this season.

Think you are right there GF but Guernsey FC have a professional look about them so I am sure that the fencing will be done, but time is flying by as you quite rightly comment. So in reality its 2nd place the others are fighting for in hope for promotion. But GF football is a funny game, you never know with Guernsey away fixtures mounting up, but still my money is on them to be champions.

Let's wait until the bad weather sets in

Personally, I think this season is turning into a cracker. There are still plenty of teams in the mix and all it needs is for someone to have an outrageous run of 10 plus wins.

GFC have also lost four central midfielders in the last couple of weeks. Black and Mackay to long term injuries, Coulter to Australia and Jordan to Bristol City. Time for a few to step up the the plate.

HKP getting excuses in quick eh ! ....only joking. Certainly a big hit for GFC if thats the case. But correctly you say now is the time for others to prove their worth. I presume they have been in the squad if not playing for another Guernsey team to keep fit ? Bet other clubs wish Allen was not available !

Black is obviously out and Mackay currently has his leg in plaster (as reported in the local paper yesterday)

The couple that came in on Saturday have been in the squad of late.

personally agree with dont blame me the season is all set up for a cracking finish guernsey having lost zico to injury and a few others to injury and also with there fixture pile up they could be under pressure.

can windsor carry on there recent performances and shoot up the league, badshot lea molesey egham all up there can they stick the pace

then we have south park ,hanworth villa (notoriously good 2nd half of season) cove , horley who can all threaten

cannot wait to see the final league table

Totally agree, I expect quite a few teams to be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

I also agree that this season could turn out very close and although Badshot Lea have had a bad week, they and Egham are still very much in the battle, especially while Guernsey remain in the Vase.

As for points required, I believe that the total required will be smaller, which is because our league is so competitive. This acts against us if we are hoping for extra promotion places this year as we all take points off each other.

My team are in eighth. I don't believe we can catch the top three. If it was one team, then it could falter, but catching all three is virtually impossible. For that reason I also rule out Windsor, Croydon, Hanworth Villa Horley Town and anyone else below that. With South Park remaining in the Vase, I don't see them getting there, although they can't be ruled out yet with games in hand.

So to my mind there are only six teams in the race for the title as you can't rule Cove or Molesey out yet either.

A more realistic ambition for the other clubs I have mentioned is a top four place, as this gets the clubs a Vase exemption to the First Round Proper and this is one reason why Egham are so well up on their fixtures as they didn't have to play any qualifying rounds. Points on the board are very important, especially if we have a bad winter with the inevitable fixture backlog in March / April that would follow. To say Guernsey have it wrapped up is doing a disservice to Egham and Badshot Lea in particular, and I don't imagine anyone from Guernsey will be believing that yet either.

We only had one person that thought like that and he has taken his support to the egg-chasers. :)

Guernsey Donkey miss that bloke met him when we played Guernsey in cup last season and He was a top Guy Think it,s a Shame that he had to remove his Support for Guernsey over a few Statements on here as he went to a lot of Away games and must cost him a few Squid. So what if he thinks that Guernsey can Smash all the Teams in The CCL does it really matter . Bring Back Donkey :biglaugh:. Supporters of Clubs far more important than players FACT

3 horse race how people can say its all over I don't know.

Guernsey are strong and yes will be there or there abouts but with the back log will find it differcult looking at there midweek games colliers wood and Croydon to mention 2 of them there going to be very differcult and can see dropped points there.

Badshot Lea seem like there buckling at the moment injuries yes but have noticed they have been having quite a few players being sent off of late.

Egham keep pileing on the pressure for the chasers and if they win on Saurday go 10 points clear of Guernsey all be it with 5 games in hand so there is a little margin of error for Guernsey.

Of the team outside the top 3 South Park have played way to many games through there own success they have brought in some good revenue and I feel there best season will come next season.

Cove have done well and are maybe dark horses along with Molesey will it will be a miracle if they can come from that far back

But we have still managed 9 goals last two games without them all. Don't forget Winchy either, another out for the season.

Reading these post then, we have had it

We have lost too many and that seems to be it.

New ground the focus, and my god it looks excellent, certainly on the plans....

Don't forget that there could be a second promotion from this league if the ppg is good enough. I might do a Krooner and get my abacus out later to see how our sides are doing compared to other Step 5 leagues (unless VP or someone has already done it).

See Applications thread - basically Egham would currently get the second runner's up spot!
