Message for any Eton Manor fan

I'm planning on bringing my daughter (comonly known as Little Miss Happy) to the game on Saturday. One of the ETFC fans has told me that the bar at Burnham is upstairs. Is there a lift as she is in a wheelchair?

As far as I am aware there is not a lift to the upstairs bar at Burnham, but I am sure there will be many ETFC Fans who would be willing to give you a hand to get the Wheel Chair upstairs.

 

We are a bit like that at ETFC Helpful.

You won't get that chair up the stairs. It's electirc and way to heavy. Never mind, I'll leave the chair at the bottom and carry the little rodent upstairs

I read this morning that some youngsters discovered a technique for getting rodents to new heights, I think it involved a rather large firework. Just an idea.

Looking forward to the game and many thanks to you guys for your efforts. Don't worry, I can carry her up the staris. there is no way anyone wil get her wheelchair up there, it is way too heavy and would be very dangerous.

 

Just do me a favour, make sure your lads don't play too well will ya!

I'm sure I can remember seeing a lift at Burnham.

 

It's a new building and would not have complied with legislation if it didn't have one, anyway.

 

Access to the first floor burger bar is by a seperate external stair and this appears to be the only acess. This of course does not comply with the DDA.

Be careful with the electric wheelchair. When Miss Happy goes into fast forward everybody had better watch out.

Maybe someone reading this can arrange for some sort of chair upstairs so that Miss Happy is accommodated for before she arrives, rather than trying to sort something out whilst she is there.

I can confirm unfortunately there is no lift at Burnham, however, attempts are being made for a wheelchair to be available at the top of the stairs for our little Miss.

I've been in contact with Burnham, and although they will be improving their facilities to accomodate wheelchair users, they have assured me that there is no lift at present.I will be contacting the ground tomorrow, because there is a chance that a wheelchair may be able to be provided for LMH to use in and around the bar area, so watch this space.

Guys/Gals - well done. Altho' the facility may not be there currently, you do yourselves and ur club proud by the efforts u make.

 

(I think Burnham have until 1/05 for the social club to be accessible for wheelchair users)
