Surprise team of the season so far?

In Div 1, I think the surprise team is South Kilburn.

 

Westfield and Epsom Athletic are also having very good seasons.

 

At the other end of the table,I'm surprised with Knaphill's current league position. I also thought Warlingham would be challenging for promotion after finishing 4th last season (result are improving now,so they might put in a late charge).

For me Cove and Camberley for differing reasons.

 

Camberley since they have been in the CCL,have finished 8th,3rd,5th,3rd,4th,this season however they are in freefall.

 

Cove are flying at present,even after a Managerial change.

In Div 1 both the New Clubs Epsom Athletic and AFC Croydon Ath have suprised me,not easy for Teams stepping up in Epsoms case,but even more of a Suprise as regards AFC Croydon Athletic starting completely from scratch,with no team in June,but sitting halfway up the table,and still in both Cups.Ant Williams and the Players have done themselves proud.

Windsor for me, very impressed in how they've turned it around after the changes earlier in the season. Looking forward to seeing them again tonight at Ash

Egham in Prem after losing their managers and some players early doors.

CCL Prem. Cove ! supported by Horley and South Park.

 

The usual suspects are all at the top again - Egham, Badshot Lea and Guernsey have generous CCL budget so no surprise there of their position.. Hanworth Villa altho' having a good cup run AGAIN normally come good during the latter part of the season, but losing players to AFC Hayes and Chipstead may cause them a problem ? The only other who has disappionted, but not surprisingly is Camberley, always consistant in the CCL but like Windsor who were on freefall when their massive budget stopped has done well to turn it around and appear to be coming good of late alas that cannot be said of Camberley at the moment..

 

CCL Div 1 It has to be South Kilburn a total surprise if everyone is honest. Maybe accompanied by Westfield. One would say Frimley Green but with the help of a useful budget which dictates and lures the better or supposed better players.perhaps not such a surprise ? Banstead relegated from the CCL Premier last season should be higher and maybe challnging for the title to get immediate promotion back to the CCL Prem. but linger towards the lower part of the league. Knaphill another total surprise to be in a relegation battle at the moment. .

 

One thing which is common in the CCL and has been mentioned many times before, results change towards the latter part of the season when middle placed teams who haven't anything to play for ............ you know the rest, queue the ''Nice Guy Play-off Cup''. !

westfield have any new lads from alst few seasons as seem like definate challengers this year

It's been said but defo South Kilburn in Div 1, was not expecting them to be this high in the table come Christmas. Will be interesting to see if they can maintain it. In the prem I would say South Park, good cup runs and really hard to beat in the league which has put them right in the mix.

Totally agree Rother,improving their facilities for the future of the Club.Still have the loyalty of their Players,A close knit Community Club,and no boom or bust.Building for the future,many other Clubs could take a leaf out of their book,rather than having to Rebuild.

Well I was 'lino' bench side and didn't have much to do in the first half. Thought you moved ther ball about very well creating lots of space and you were clinical infront of goal. Ash played a lot better 2nd half and deservedly got something out of it. Have been on a number of your matches this season and have been impresed with the way the young squad is developing
