So he let's people know what he has done,does it really get your back up that much mate? People are only a problem when other people are looking for it, gotta say hope the linesman get better because he was by far in the top 3 of what we have had this season! And in his shoes mate

No, it doesn't get my back up at all, it's just that every bloomin' week week Smudge goes in search of problems where none really exist, poking around at people / clubs who have done no wrong in most others' eyes, so to have a little back poke in his direction seemed like a valid diversion from the norm.

 

I'm sure he's a lovely fella really and I do admire his actions in this case!

Has attended a game, paid an entry Fee,then when the Referee has pulled up lame after 31 mins,volunteered his services as a stand in linesman for the remaining 89 minutes,expecting NO REWARD.

Smudge,are you a qualified official?

The reason I ask smudge,is that you must be qualified to officiate a game,I assume you are,if not,I believe both clubs have to agree to an unqualified assistant,as does the present officials on show.

It's great what you did,but I bet 99% of the people on here would do their bit to get a game on?

Back to the heading....

Yours truly did in our Cup tie against Sandhurst when the ref got cramp In extra time and I ran the line.

.....Love to have had some post MOTD cameras when I called our striker on side from a through ball....(full back on the far side payed him on). Got some grief nevertheless! I realised then that its not just just me that thinks he knows it all....we all do !! .... I did ask the injured official for a spilt of his fee in jest as well...... Still waiting for the cheque!
