Enfield Town v Lowestoft Town

Chase Side Towner

Well, it's going to be a cold one today as it's hovering around -1 at the moment. Temperature due to get up to about a scorching 5 degrees come kick off.

Looking at their team news here:

They've had injuries and suspensions to the spine of their team in recent weeks. Crane their centre half is missing and Defty their centre forward is just coming back from injury. Defty is in the mould of that Bishops Stortford centre forward who got a hat trick against us. A big lump who can't run but is superb at holding the ball up and a great touch as well.

I'm glad we're playing them now rather than a couple of months ago as we're improving. However, let's see if we can defend today. This will be a good test to see how far we've come as this side have made the RPL play-off final the last two years.

C'mon ye Town

C'mon ye Town

Don't think that word is in our vocabulary!!!

Think this will be a tough game, hard pitch, bouncy ball, difficult to control the ball

As long as we score one more than them we'll be happy (actually where is Happy?)

COME ON TOWNERS

A missed opportunity methinks. Awful misses in the first half. We should have been four up after 30 minutes. Hope greedily shot when a square ball to Gunz would have left a simple tap in and then Gunz couldn't decide between a shot and a pass, did both and cocked up!!! Very disappointing afternoon when the game should have been dead and buried by half time. When Lowestoft pulled the first back you could tell we were in big trouble.

I think it was Campbell who greedily shot and then Hope missed the rebound when he should of scored. Missed opportunities in the first half and ten the usual story in the second half of conceding 3 goals. I know SN is saying he wants to play attacking football and I agree to a point but with other defenders at the club maybe it's worth trying them?

We have all said it before. Good enough to score but are very suspect at defending. When will Kirby get another six footer to play alongside him? Yesterday again proved that when the defence comes up against big attackers, then we are left wanting. 2-0 up and failed to close it out.
