They have officials sorted, believe they are the same ones as at their last game v Leatherhead XI. However, Smudge, I'm sure that your skills as a linesman would always be welcome were one to pull up with cramp.

Please note that there will be a minute silence before the game tonight. This is as a mark of respect to Richard Nieuwenhuizen, the Dutch Match Official who was killed by three young football players from Nieuw Sloten Football Club in Amsterdam.

Odd thing was it was completely dry when I left Dorking a few minutes earlier. Looking at the forecast, I guess there will be a few frozen pitches on Saturday....

Oh well, we tried, and thanks to Colliers Wood United for their efforts in trying to get this game on. Cannot believe the weather at times!

If a Fans Focus Team can arrange both a team and a venue before Christmas (preferably midweek, but weekends is not a problem - Sundays ideal) then UK FF are definitely up for a game and can easily raise a squad of 22.

 

If the game was for charity (with two nominated causes, one by each side), it could attract interest and I would do my level best to come over (no promises, and I would have to check the forecast as I am not going to be stranded on a First Great Western train without power again if I can help it!) What I would definitely do is donate £50 to each cause and also provide a match trophy (UK FF would bring the trophy along, plus officials if needed)

why would we want to embarrass ourselves against Conference standard players we are just a fun side who do a bit for charity

A non starter Mayor of Simpleton,Fans Focus could not raise a Team for starters,YV gave his all for the Charity games,just like a few other posters on here including our resident Officials.Alas what people say on here,and what people actually do,takes the wind out of even Chris Wye,myself as well.We once had 84 gold members,we now have 10.You arrange a game,get the ground,provide the Officials,the food,then maybe we might be able to raise 11,or pm Diggity he might be able to play you as he runs a team called Woking Peacocks who like Charity Games,but they never invited us back.Fans Focus never received an invite to play them away.
