readingrebel
In the locals SB says that he is looking to freshen things up by possible adding one or two players to the squad. With St Albans in turmoil could we possibly see the return of Chris Seeby? Also Ryan O'tool has left Hayes and Yeading and as far as I can see hasn't yet found a new club. Or the return of Sweens? HEAVY TRUCKER
going by our past signing history that means he'll probably end up at slough then!

OLDER RAM
If SB is looking to freshen up the squad he should look at the the Beaconsfield team, a new manager often leads to a team breaking up, there are some players there who could quite easily play in the Slough team, and played well against them when they have met eachother. And what with the new manager coming in from Flackwell, he is bound to bring some of his old team with him to the RAMS, meaning some of the Beaconsfield players might be looking to move on. We have more than over achieved over the last two seasons with our small squad, but with a new manager coming from outside the club im afraid things will change for the worst. OLDER RAM
We had a great result yesterday at Guildford, but i think it is only a matter of time before there will be some major changes to our squad with the new manager coming in. If SB wants some new players then it would be naive not to take a look at the other team that plays at Holloways Park who are stronger in some positions than Slough and also finished last season higher placed than Slough, surely if they are better quality it is more feasable to take on new players who play at the same ground for another team than go looking elsewhere, or were Beaconsfield just lucky last season and this ! Matt
and also finished last season higher placed than Slough When did this happen?
Ian
In the twisted world of the SYCOB fan losing in the final of the playoff lottery as opposed to the semi makes up the 18 points difference. To put that into context if SYCOB had finished 18 points less than they did they'd have finished 16th!
Bernie Gogan
I can't think of anyone I'd want us to sign from SYCOB who would make a significant difference to our squad with all due respect to their players. Anyway I'm certain the new manager won't be so cavalier as to disregard those already there in favour of players presently playing at a lower level. Unless there are budget issues with the present squad why make changes? Maybe Older Ram knows something more ?
OLDER RAM
You can twist it all you want, but i think when Slough played against Beaconsfield in the "play off lottery" they were definately trying to win to proceed to the play off final. As Beaconsfield won the match that night I think you can say that Beaconsfield finished the season ahead of Slough, this is going on a tangent to what this thread was about anyway. All i was trying to say was, there are some good honest players at Beaconsfield, and if some of them are looking to move on with the current upheaval of a new manager arriving and SB is looking to freshen his squad, perhaps he might be wise to look closer to home. Bernie Gogan
Nice of you to get that jibe in again. Why would you want any of your players to leave? It baffles me that one, after all you might meet us in the play offs again with your current squad,
HEAVY TRUCKER
why would we want some of our old players back that did not want to play for us last year anyway, and we still won the runners up trophy, one match does not make a season. staines_rebel_Jr
dont you all remember the 09/10 season when we finished ahead of Hitchin despite being 23 points behind
HorshamRebel
I can also remember everyone saying how unfair it was that Hitchin didn't go up that season as they deserved it after being so far ahead of the team in 3rd. Those views cemented the relationship we have with Hitchin now
HP9
Nevin Saroya Has gone to Burnham. So Older Ram was correct as they have now probably lost their best player. I reckon they have cut the budget.
