He was interviewed on BBC Guernsey at lunchtime today. He's back at home, leg not plaster as he had a rod put through it (bloody ouch!), currently off work and can walk short short distances on crutches. Will be watching GFC matches whilst out injured and doing any stat work that the coaches would lile done as he also enjoys coaching.

A move to guernsey?!? I'd be warming the bench at best lol... Glad to hear he's doing well and everybody supporting him... Should arrange a fans focus game IN GUERNSEY to raise funds...

Wish him all the best. I've had the same operation he's had. It's called an IM nail. They drill down through the middle of the tibia bone and insert the titanium rod, and screw top and bottom. Mines staying in for life, but I believe you can have them removed if requested. No plaster, which is for the best really as swimming can be started nearly 3 weeks after breaking once cuts have healed. If he would like any advice on the injury please tell him he's more than welcome to contact me.

You could always apply for the Guernsey Force, Phil. They take the majority from the mainland, or at least, they used too !
