Recommended Posts

Smudgey I most humbly apologise to both you and Footy Mad for my comments :)

Just for the record I cannot remember the last time I ate a burger. Do I get an apology from you ? Thought not :)

Oh my God,hope senile dementia has not set in at your Young Age.Thought it only affected Old Codgers like me.

Through our consultants,we did apply for the funding but I believe that due to our applications to Football Foundation, Sport England etc for the bigger funding amounts that are available, I always felt we probably wouldn't also be successful in this as well. Also I think Budweiser were looking to see quick results with their awards and the timing wasn't quite right with us. Excellent news for the two CCL clubs and I look forward to seeing the results of this in future vists.

Thinking about this it would surprise me if not every CCL club didn't apply!!! Why wouldn't they have done!!

Clubs that Groundshare, would not of been able to be selected i.e Guernsey,Epsom and Ewell,Mole Valley,AFC Croydon Athletic,Warlingham,Staines Lammas,South Kilburn,so I presume they did not apply as they do not have their Own Clubhouse or Canteen.

Good question!

I'm also intrigued as to how many teams in total applied.

We applied.

you had to be silly not too.

well done to southpark and raynes park, great news.

i think they are doing it again next year so we will try again.

i believe we put in for a training area 3g, i dont think it had to be for catering/clubhouse.

Also, one of the teams which won the £50k grant (South Park, Raynes Park Vale, Camelford, Pegasus Juniors, Evergren, Bardon Hill, AFC Blackpool and Blyth Town) is in line for a further £100k next year.
