My all time favourite 'old school' Slough kit

Just found this photo and this was the days before replica kits (well, before Slough did replica kits). i remember the blue strip along the top of the shoulders and Observer sponsers. I remember asking my dad to get me the kit, but ended up with an England one instead, he said he couldnt get one. I wonder what ever happens to the old kits (maybe retired players have up in their loft).

So as I started watching Slough in 1971 with the FA Amateur Cup semis against Dagenham I still like the kit fom those days best, amber shirts (not yellow) with blue trim and navy blue shorts. Plain simple and looked good.

Think way back before my time we had hooped kits as well as in the conference for a brief period.

I liked the hoops, both Reardon & Delaney played in them, but we graduated to blue with a strange thin orange stripe before moving onto the familiar amber shirts with royal blue shorts for a long while. It was only when we moved to WP that navy shorts appeared (from memory) and we've stuck with that since barring one season in the conference where the hoops returned..

I've always regarded amber & navy as our colours whatever shade of blue or yellow we've adopted from time to time.
