FA Cup Fixture...

Ofiicial

Recommended Posts

The game will be played on Sunday 9th November with a 1pm KO...

Given all the issues surrounding this game and with the whole purpose being to play it at The Stadium, we have, acting upon advice from the police...decided that this is the best day and time taking all the circumstances into consideration...

this of course means that we will not be chosen for sky TV but if we win the game...don't bet against it next time....

the entry prices will remain the same as normal as will the cost of the programme food and drinks...

there will be no need for our own fans or other local people to buy tickets as 6 turnstyles will be open for both away and home supporters...

it is however imperative that you get to the ground early so as to avoid queues at the turnstyles....we would expect a crowd of around 1500-2000.

so that's it...all arranged and hopefully a win for the urchins....

we will of course be in the hat for the second round draw and will know who our opponents are should we defeat Darlington.

Excellent news, I know some people would have preferred the Saturday KO, but I think that the Sunday is the best option all round. Reckon we should be able to get a decent crowd over there, especially as there appears to be no other games going on in the area!

Can't say I'm too happy personally (Sunday football will have to be missed)and I can see the benefits/reasons.

Posted the info to their message board and got 22 'hits' in 10 minutes. It seems a popular choice up there (Sunday that is!)and we could be seeing a fair few fans there from up North (no not Tottenham)!

This is great news! The fact that we can play at home is a massive result! Looking forward top it already and I fancy a shock!

We'll have to make sure there is a great atmosphere on the day!

How about we all take drums along like those chaps the other day, really create an atmosphere to remember!!

A 1pm kickoff is also better for photographers - better light

I promise when I see you I'll say hi next time. Was going to do so at half time on Sat, but you'd disappeared and couldn't see where you were sitting for the 2nd half.

On Saturday's performance Lockey wouldn't get in to the side

You can't really judge him on that game - he was only on the pitch for 10 minutes!
However, I do still worry when he plays as he can be a lazy bleeder and in such an important game I'd rather have 11 players out there who I knew would be putting in their all, or has been mentioned, 200%.

By all accounts it is actually impossible for you to get from Darlington down to Hornchurch by train and make it in time for the start of the game. Those Darlo fans aren't happy

A weird one that because Southend/Canvey has been moved to a Sunday but still has a 3pm kick off. It all depends on the local police I suppose.
