Footy Mad
How so? Is the Arena a decent drainer? I was there on Wednesday night and after all of the rain we had during the day the pitch was outstanding

Chubby Brown
Despite the forecast the weather appears to have been okay overnight and no sign of any rain at the moment, maybe we'll get a few games on today afterall!! Chubby Brown
And so as predicted on here by many, the Guernsey backlog continues to worsen!! When are we going to have an update from the league as to how they plan to schedule GFC's fixtures?!

The Mayor Of Simpleton
I remember that a team years ago had to play something like 9 games in 12 days, owing to a major backlog. They managed to play them all though - so probably the season would be extended for Guernsey. Provided they finish their games by the end of May, it shouldn't be a problem. When are we going to have an update from the league as to how they plan to schedule GFC's fixtures?! South Park have a similar backlog - both are still in Vase & League Cup. The major difference is that scheduling GFC home fixtures needs both pitch availability and flight availability to line up. If it was easy, it would be done by now. Most probable that GFC will end up playing home games Fri / Sat or Fri / Sun for a few weeks once the rugby season is over and the "better" Spring weather arrives. Non League Nigel
Can't be ideal for Guernsey sharing with a rugby side. Only way I can see backlog being resolved is all their midweek games to be played away

When are we going to have an update from the league as to how they plan to schedule GFC's fixtures?! shush Chubby. Why do the league have to announce what they will do just beacuse it is Guernsey. Their games will be rearranged and they will play them even if it is 4 games a week at the end of the season. As said elsewhere a few times this was always going to happen at some point and if the clubs dont like it they shouldnt have voted them in. And do bear in mind our game there is in doubt due to the Vase and we may have to do a midweek there.

Smudge
Thank you Mr Ford for getting to the South Kilburn v Staines Lammas game just 20 minutes before kick off, then promptly calling it off.Maybe you thought it was 3pm k.o.Both teams had warmed up,and wanted to play, the pitch was wet agreed,5 very small puddles, but the ball was running smoothly.Think it was your elf and safety you were worried about, still you still got paid.Programmes wasted,Food wasted, plus 4 hours hard work by the volunteers to get the pitch playable.
