Can't believe Cheesington & Hook game was on last night after all the rain we've had, yet games have been called off for less.......strange?

But that was not in the League though...Surrey Senior Cup match.

Wasn't the chessington game played at godalming I thought I red something about that

No the game was played at Chessington. I think we were going to try to switch it to our place next week if it was called off again but that wasn't necessary.

It's fair to say we were shocked that it was on! Pitch was very heavy but definitely playable.....well just about!

Rested a few and had Matt Griffiths,Adam Cornell,Nick Sowden all on the bench. Molesey deserved the win. Back to league action Saturday.

I presume the ref was a higher standard than the CCL refs as Godalming were involved. That may explain it. I've seen photos and videos and been at games played in the Isthmian League and higher that your average step 5 ref would call off without even stepping onto the pitch. Higher level refs seem less scared of a bit of water or ice.

Ref was Jim Patterson

Good lad Jim is. He's not scared of a bit of water.

The pitch at Redbridge v Ware a couple of seasons ago. Not postponed, not abandoned:

(hold on while I try to get these pictures to work)

Right so game played in what has been described as heavy (naturally) conditions, so it really beggars belief why Chessington & Hook games are called off for a lot less and drier weather.......suspicious or not ?

At the end of the day, it's down to the 'officials', as already discussed on here at length!!
