margate-fc.com - Display Issues Resolved (I think!)

I think I have finally cracked the problem where older versions of Internet Explorer were not displaying the page correctly causing the Menu to not be visible. The menu is still a bit temperamental in older browsers but at least now you should be able to see it.

At the very right end of the menu there is a link called 'Site Map' which takes you to a page with links to all pages in the site if you are having problems with the menu.

The pages should now work correctly in Internet Explorer 7 and upwards as well as the other (decent!) browsers. If for any reason you are still using Internet Explorer 6 then you will be out of luck as that is 10 years old, no longer supported and Microsoft are actively telling people to stop using it (http://www.ie6countdown.com/#list).

Although I have tested the changes as much as possible, it is impossible to check all browsers on all systems. If you are still having trouble then please let me know.

Likewise, if you were having problems viewing the site but these are now sorted, let me know so I know the changes have worked!!!!

I can't access the site properly on my Android smart phone. The wording of the articles is obscured by great slabs of blue. This has always been the case, and I have just tested, still is. I can just about see it using Opera Mini, although it still takes ages to load. It's a real problem for me, and I wish you could do something about it, because I spend a lot of time away from my pc.

Unfortunately Chris, I do not have access to any Android devices so do not know how it responds on them. I do know on my iPhone it looks fine through Chrome, ok(ish) through Safari and awful through Opera Mini.

This will be rectified in the next version but will see if I can do anything in the interim.

I thought it was me so didn't even mention it - could get it at home but not at work with our super duper high power system which used firefox

I must admit that my last attempt to fix it a couple of months back broke it in Firefox and I didn't realise! The fixes I put in last night appeared to resolve the Firefox issue on the version I have.

Is it working on the work one now?

Is there any facility on your phone to take a screenshot Chris? I have tested it in an Android emulator and the only issue that shows is that the content text is not filling the width of the middle column.

However, I think I have managed to replicate the issue. If I reduce the width of my desktop browser, the blue right hand column moves in starts to cover the content text (as shown in the bottom screenshot). Is this the issue you are having?

Scrap that. I think I have now resolved this. If anyone is using an Android device the content text should now fill the width of the middle section and none of the content should be blocked by blue blocks!!!

Can anyone using an Android device please confirm one way or the other??
