Rother
Scrappy! I think Bedfont weren't too impressed with the officials but I thought the ref did pretty well to keep the yellows down to a mere handful. It had the potential to get out of hand at times. Top half for Windsor now. Good to see Rob Bullivant back in goal, a calming influence for sure.

Thought ref was a bit one sided an booked me for talking to him when he asked me to strange also said the foul leading up to your second wasnt a foul but gave a free kick now work that out. Your 10 is decent an your skipper solid good luck for the season youthful side with want in there play

Have to say how commendable is the way the new management have quietly gone about improving the team / results since the early season turmoil. At this rate of progress a top 8 finish is on the cards - unthinkable less than 3 months ago. Now if only you could keep your "best" player on the park each game

That's very true Newby but you could also say that your 4 was lucky to stay on the picth with 5 or 6 challenges that could have all warranted cards. Rother
Agreed re the challenge through the back and retaliation. Many refs (espec when an assessor is in attendance) would have booked our guy and (at the least) booked yours for the retaliation - he handled it well by just talking to them (as he did quite a lot). Obv I couldn't hear what he said but looked like he treated them like grown ups which is not that common! It was feisty (and a bit gobby on your part ) but nothing nasty going on that I could see and to finish 11 -v- 11 was good.
newby marvel
always like to be gobby as you say mate lol i do like to try an put players off there game but yeah good to have 11 v 11 always!! my point is though that if refs make a point of carding for one offence then they have to do the rest of them, consistency please referees the referee actually thanked me for talking to him the whole game not once did i abuse him well not that i remember an he apologised for cautioning me for his mistake that said itll still be a yellow for me!! TurnerBSFC
It was frustrating to watch last night. Cant blame referees entirely however, the level of inconsistency seen week in week out is a bit of a joke. Dont get me wrong its a tough job, but if you give free kicks and cards for nothing tackles then you set the benchmark IMO and must do the same for the whole game. That said, we just didnt have enough firepower last night, some nice football at times but couldnt open up your defence. Also I didnt have much to do in goal either really apart from the two well taken goals. All the best for the season

Max Power
How come Harris isn't playing at the moment? Injured or suspended - he didn't play against us either but that was a while ago?
Rother
I have no idea how the suspension system works, how many bookings = suspension, and when they would kick in, but he was sent off for 2 yellows last Tuesday; there might also have been a tot up of bookings anyway. I should imagine he's a bleedin' nightmare for the Sec to look after what with all the paperwork.... I've been saying it all season - excellent player but he really needs to calm down / grow up a bit.
Windsor_Sec
One match suspension last night for picking up 5 bookings. 2 game suspension [Ash & Molesey away] for last weeks red card. ALL paperwork is a nightmare not just Ben's ! I'll agree to some extent that he needs to calm down a bit but most of it is over exuberance as opposed to malicious. He's still a young lad himself with even younger lads around him who he's trying to help but if you take his commitment out of his game you'd have a much poorer player. It's ironic really that you have a couple who are too excitable and some who you would actually like to see gain more of a nasty streak but young players mature at different ages. Either way I'll take what we have now as I think it bodes very well for the future of the club for many years to come as the average age of the 16 players involved last night is 21 but if you take out the 2 keepers [33 & 25] it drops down to 19 and a bit ! If they progress at the same time as each other you could be looking at the nucleus of a team that could play together for 10 years or more.
