FA Vase/Rye lodge complaint to FA

and I see that they've even got the cheek to ponder if they get the prize money. Only a few clubs have someone who checks out the credentials of everyone in their opponents' squad just in case they lose the game. Won't be cheering Rye on in the next round.

Pardon? Rumour has it Amersham played 3 or 4 players under assumed names and have, more than likely, done the same in previous rounds too.

Are you condoning that behaviour and saying it shouldnt be revealed? and that Rye are somehow in the wrong?

Astonishing.

If those rumours are correct, I withdraw my comments unreservedly. Had assumed that it was a case of the odd uptied player not noticed by the home secretary. Will be interested to learn more - if it was as you say, Amersham will probably be barred from net season's comp.

If you're stupid enough to have photos of players on your website then play someone else under their name you deserve to get caught.

It's fraud also as they tried to gain financial income in an inappropriate manner.

Stick them in Division 2 is what the SSML should do as they have brought shame on the league, plus they're sh1t too

Horace - You soon changed your tune!

Because he acknowledged he was wrong when presented with the facts and apologised. I know that's a difficult concept for you to grasp which in a way is ironic because you never have the facts and are frequently wrong

I think it was more to do with Horace being afraid that the Herts FA saw his comments!

No I think it's more to do with exactly what he said and not something that you have made up out of nowhere.

Cannot relegate them for a misdemeanor in an external Competition.

Tring had an email after we lost to Dunstable a couple of years back telling us to appeal against one of their subs. It was signed as "a friend" & came from an anonymous email account. We'd lost 6-1 and decided not to take it any further. Out of curiousity I looked into it & turned out he'd played in the Trophy rather than the Vase so was fine to play anyway.

Just before I joined Sun Sports they played a ringer in goal in the Vase & lost by at least 7 or 8 at Hanwell. Of all the names they could have picked the player they chose actually worked with the ref. He obviously reported it & they got banned from the Vase & FA Cup for a few seasons.

Amersham have played ringers before in the league, might have been last season or the one before. They were naming one on team sheets for a month after they had cancelled his Amersham registration & transferred to Tring

How can they explain this away? They have been caught out blatantly trying to cheat and have been at it for some time. Why should Everyone else have to conform to rules when these jokers clearly feel they don't have to. They are Sunday league and should be sent there where they belong.

Got to say I agree
