In the Mail on Sunday,

Travelodge is linking with low-cost fitness chain Gym Group to find sites in a £70 million investment deal. The pair have signed a deal to find sites in London and Southeast.

They are looking for conversion or develpoment oppourtunities and have already tested the idea in London, Plymouth and Guildford.

Lets hope !!

Possibly, but Low Cost Gym are a big company who have teamed up with Travelodge, if they are willing to put in why not.

I know that news sites never get their facts 100% but reading this, to me it suggests that Travelodge are more or less back on board and work could commence in January?!?!?!

looks promising and fingers crossed.

as CE points out though-could/should/may are fluffy meaningless words which are a mile away from 'will'.

i would be vastly more confident when it is categorically confirmed that funding is in place and all funding paperwork signed.

planning issues are simply a matter of timing-its the money being in place that counts

have you clicked on to the official site in last 24 hours RB ?

yesterdays news item is indirectly related to this.

I imagine if you asked 5 of us how we interpret that news in relation to the possibility of travel lodges further involvement -you would get 5 different answers -and we would probably all be wrong !!
