Thank you Mick.

We are proud of our boys reaching the 4th qualifying round of the FA cup. Our attendance was 288 more than ETFC had watching them in the same round.

We won't hear the end of it if your boys win 4 games in the Vase let alone the FA Cup itself. Nevermind still in the trophy and then our Ryman 1 North fixtures. You stand still while we keep moving on.

Enjoy fighting it out with Ilford, Concord and Basildon from what i've seen and heard this year all 3 are going to give you a run for your money.

Isn't it strange how a Latent fan comes on this forum today with his first ever post and his name, Lee Bridge. I'll lay odds on that this poster is Mean It Mick, or one of the other pseudonyms that he regularly uses.

Whoever you are, ETFC is moving forward despite any set backs that may have befallen the club. The ground is improving and will be up to Ryman 1 standard in time for next season. Yes it will be tough to win the league, but we're up for it and are in with a very good chance. Latent are only one level up from Town so we could be playing them next season.

COME ON YOU TOWN

You said it 'COULD BE'

Could be................if you get your ground up to Ryman standard. You can not guarantee 100% your club will be able to do this.

Could be................ if you get promotion. Your league record is looking much better a 3rd of the way through the season as we had when we won it 18 months ago.

Where you always tell us what you might do we have gone out and done it.

SORRY my mistake!!!! Your league record ISN'T looking much better a 3rd of the way through the season as we had when we won it 18 months ago.

No problem with your football club, but felt the need to reply to the stupid message first posted.

What are you talking about.....Town got a crowd of 501 in the SECOND qualifying round.

If you are a Letyon supporter(which, lets face it-is doubtfull)......Were you amounst the vast travelling Letyon support, that swelled the crowd to 35 when you played Enfield f.c last week.

When saying that we had 288 more fans than you had in the same round, i was pointing out the fact that Leyton FC were in the 4th Qualifying round and ETFC were not....thats all.

No one is doubting the fact that ETFC get bigger crowds than most, but what does it matter. At least the small following we have at Leyton (which is improving, i must add)are seeing Ryman football.

The size of your support and that of other teams playing at a higher level seems your biggest concern. Because that is the only level that you can compete with them.

Good luck for the season and MAYBE we will see you next year.

Oh please. I think this discussion has been had on this forum 18 months ago and know for a fact that your supporters have travelled to our club since. If you were so cruelly treated why did your fans turn up for more?

If your still sulking about not being allowed to stand behind our goal at the league game in November, get over it. It was no one in the ground allowed to stand behind the goal so what was the problem. Is it your players that win the game or your supporters. I must add that day your boys deserved the win, but you didn't and the rest they say is history.

Does everyone have fond memories of their visits to your ground. Don't think so!!! Tony Cross springs to mind an incident at Sawbridgeworth away. Plus the endless number of times men and boys alot of the time playing for the opposition get abused by a MINORITY of your support who seem to think that their £5 entrance fee entitles them to do nothing else , but verbally abuse players.

Or are you speaking about the alledged incident that ended up going to court and i think we all know what the outcome was.

This really does not need to be discussed, but MIM and any other neutrals reading this tread will not listen to the overwhelming bias of the Enfield Town fans. The facts speak for themselves.

None of the other clubs that we have entertained over the years have ever complained. Many with a following as big as ETFC.

Say what you want, it has probably all been said before. Don't want to carry this on for any longer and will make this my last post. Do not want to be abusive to anyone or cause any trouble just defending my club.

How many of the other clubs fans have been refused permission to enter half of the ground, and been intimidated by hired thugs????

..and when it comes to insulting the opposition players, I think you will find that the vast majority of this is friendly banter. Visiting teams are clapped off the pitch at Brimsdown. We often have a laugh with the opposing keeper. Take the recent match against Felixstowe for example. the only club we have had a bad experience with is Leyton. Why, because they wanted to intimidate ETFC to ensure a win. Well, it didn't get you far did it. You are still only one league higher than us despite last year's promotion. If (and I know it's an if, albeit a strong one) we win the ESL we will see you next season. I gurantee one thing though. If it does happen, ETFC will not use the same nasty off field tactics at the Brimmo as used by Leyton.
