fantastic result and a great game to watch. Caught us cold with their goal and a few seasons ago heads would have dropped and would have been well beaten but there is a 'never say die' attitude within the team now and don't it show. Just hope the gates now start to improve, the team, mangement are doing their bit now need the (extra) local and not so local supporters to support what is a very good team....well done again !!!!!!!!

What a great performance by ALL . Everyone was MOM Tommy Whitnell, Marc Cornielle, Craig Holloway, Matt Bodkin, Carl Rook, everyone. Ref was suspicious on some decisions, and those bloody linesmen (sorry assistant referees) or just pointless. I think they should be renamed "Offside Officials" as that seems to be the only thing they do. Bury was a good team, big lads especially at the back, very physical, but we were just outstanding. Could some one tell me what Carl rook was second booked for as I didn't see it.

Great save near the end by Craig when it was one on one. I know CK says we shouldn't get too carried away, but what the hell, we should enjoy this moment for the whole week. Wealdstone will be interesting, get the supporters in and get these gates back up to a respectable number.

COME ON THE BLUES

Carl took a tremendous battering from the Bury defenders his back must be black and blue this morning and he is my man of the match for putting up with it, I am as mistified as you and the rest of the world as to why he was booked again.

I think that Carl was giving the ref, who was being dominated by the away team, a bit of chat about Bury's continual fouling of him and his card was marked after that so at the first opportunity for a booking the ref seized it and was looking for him thereafter. CK would have done well to take him off towards end of the second half as it was becoming clear that Carl would get no decisions at all

Spoke to Carl after the match, his second yellow was for 'stamping' on the guy that tackled him from behind!! So there you go, you get tackled from behind and YOU'RE liable to get booked. Plus, when was stamping a yellow card offence? The Officials are the worst part of a Saturday afternoon and just come across as so arrogant.I heard Kevin Davies of Bolton is the most fouled man in the Premier League, well I think Carl would be the non-league equivalent! But, one mans problems with centre halves, allows someone else some respite. I firmly believe this is why Tommy Whitnell is starting to flourish and ghost into good positions(well done Tommy)

Overall, I thought Bury were the best team I've seen this season and had their strikers been on form, I'm afraid the result may have gone their way. Copious amounts of good well driven crosses to the front men, who were bang off form. I know there were 2 good crosses for Avo and Tommy's goals yesterday, but normally we're pretty dreadful at getting them in. Rooky's pretty decent at heading at goal, but is often starved of crosses. The line up without Long and Murphy looks a lot more balanced, now we've gone to 4-4-2.

I must commend the team for their fightback, which made for the best match at Hartsdown this season. In answer to someone's post, I think Craig Holloway is the best keeper in the League! One last point, Phil Starkey's distribution, good or bad?!!

Was a bit stupid I thought for Rook to commit that second offence knowing that he was on a yellow already. He wasnt excatly the refs favourite player out there yesterday. His form in the match was good however and he used his vast experience to good effect. Shame that he didnt apply self control when it was required but that was the only blip yesterday after a pulsating end-to-end match played out both both sets of players .Incidentally was that our first red card of the season?

Have to agree with your last comment re PS.At least twice yesterday passes from him to the the wing were intercepted and allowed Bury to quickly counter attack -

he must be more careful.

Overall very impressive team display with TW again showing what he is capable of - not often he scores with a header ?

Three wins on the trot - Wealdstone should be very interesting.

As posted above-i reckon 'the difference' is that we now have a proper and solid midfield with 4 battling midfielders-winning and keeping possession.

i know stubbs and bodkin play a bit wider-but they also battle back and are just as capable of playing and coming 'inside' to help out and are involved in the game continuosly,as oppssed to those 'fluffy' wide midfield players with so called pace who rush down to the corner flag and can't deliver-have a job to do to be fiar at end of game against tired legs-but give me battling midfielders any day of the week.

I think we should acknowledge stubbs contribution with his consistency at penalties-never an easy task and a skill quality in its own right (kiss of death i guess as he'll go and miss the next one now) but just as hoolway is really good-he'll make a howler sometime-and stubbs will miss sometime ,but that does'nt make thewm poor-it just happens to anyone.

yep stubbs' penalties are a real asset.

Good to see corneille winning mom.-again gives us consistent performances in midfield this season-all seems to have settled down this season after missing a few games last season.

Looking quite good at moment for top eight finish.

My mind is doing cartwheels though as i want to win every game-but on other hand -i think promotion this season is one season too early for the current infrastructure (ground ) and probably funding-higher wages and trips to dorchester and weston super mare
