My intitial reaction was that it wasn't that bad a tackle - in fact at first I thought Zico had fouled the Erith guy! It just looked like a very untidy challenge with both flying in for the ball. But someone nearer to the incident said that the Erith guy definitely went in 2 footed, and then feigned injury himself to try and cover up!

 

Interestingly the ref didn't send the Erith player off till the match restarted, some hour and 10 minutes after the incident happened!! This didn't go down very well with the locals.........

Congratulations to all Vase winners today - that Guernsey fightback was something special. Just noticed that the egg-chasers have the use of Footes Lane on Saturday 8th December the 3rd round date - if drawn at home would GFC play on the Friday or Sunday after it has been churned up? Or have the FA approved the use of an alternative venue perhaps?? The other "downside" to their win today is a probable rescheduled midweek trip to Croydon in the League - nice ! ;)

Good stuff TRS - tough game as we expected two Dave Smith goals won it for us and nice to get a clean sheet.

 

good to be in the draw for the next round with all the other CCL sides - good luck to Frimley tomorrow.

 

All the best to 'Zico' Black sounds like a nasty one - broken tib and fib and not a compound fracture

Good win for park against ash. Dave smith with 2 well taken goals and South Park never looked like losing this one! Was surprised that jimmy Norman was stuck out on the wing as he destroyed us up top when we played them at ours, and was their main threat again yesterday.

 

On a very positive note the referee was fantastic yesterday. polite, no ego and always willing to talk to players. Refreshing to see after some of the officials we have had this season.

 

Good luck to ash for the rest of the season

Well Done to South Park & good luck in the next round & for the rest off the season. A great bunch of people on & off the pitch & fully deserve everything that has come to the club

 

I thought we gave a good show of ourselves but in the end the form just showed as your in good form & we are not. Need to get a settled side & with the battling qualities we have I really hope we turn it around soon, especially as the manager needs a break & get a smile back he fully deserves after all the efforts he has put into this club throughout the years playing & managing.
