Enfield Town vs Harrow Borough

Cracking goal by Hunt, and a great bit of chasing down by Gunz on the keeper to win the ball and pass it into an empty net from a bit of an acute angle for the second.

We started well in the first 25 minutes or so, but our final ball into the box was lacking. Neither keeper had much to do in the first half. Harrow came more into it at the end of the first half, glad to go in all square at HT.

Started the first half much like the first, decent-ish possession, but the passing was not as crisp as we've seen at times this season. However, a great goal as I said by Hunt, and after we went two up we looked to close it up a bit with more defensive subs coming on.

A bit of a workmanlike performance you could say, but definitely pleased with the result no matter what you call it. Well done to all the team, a much needed three points.

Glad to see change of tactics worked

Got to game early, avoided bar

went and SAT to watch first half

Got Burger towards the end of first half

Didn't go into bar, until we had safely seen out first half

Second half stood in wrong place

Hard work not but the result waas worth it!

1st Goal - awesome well done

2nd Goal I expected the ref to blow as I don't think you are allowed to tackle anymore, never mind tackle a keeper!

gate of 303

3 points

were we really playing 3 at the back??

and what the heck is with this clean sheet business??

well done TOWNERS

A welcome 3 points!

Not the best of matches - Harrow look like they might be relegation candidates - but after recent results it was the result that mattered.

Whilst we still gave the ball away too easily at times, it was a more disciplined performance. Gio earned his Man of the Match award though Adam ran him close and chipped in with that all important second goal.

Well done Town - more of that on Saturday please!

Forgot to add something about the missed header at the very end of the game. Think it was O'Brien, looked easier to score than head it over the bar.

Mitch Hahn, I think - it did look easier to score.

Let's take the 3 points and move on to Saturday - I'm sure we'll play better, and from what I've heard, we have played better recently and not picked up anything, so perhaps we were due a game like this. For what it's worth, I thought we were the better side, and worth the win, despite it not being a classic encounter.

OK accept that we didn't play with 3 at the back; it did look like that for a lot of the first half

What I do fail to understand is the habit of bringing on Brian Hammet with 15 minutes to go; he struggled to get into the game; and a couple of times he just didn't have the pace; that is not his fault, surely if we are bringing on an experienced player, he should be in the middle to close the game down, if we are going to replace a forward in the last 15 minutes we need someone with pace. I'm not having a go at BH, at all, but the tactics are very odd

Still a good 3 points

He did have a shot saved and put in a wicked cross that, as others have said, Mitch Hahn headed over when it looked easier to score. Oh and he crocked their number five while making it look like a complete accident.

Steve did say that the performances have not been a fair reflection on the results and felt our previous games when we played well we got nothing from it. He then went on to add maybe we need to play badly and get a win....and how right he was!!

Good result Tuesday, lets try and get a bit of momentum and build on this and put a winning run of 3 or 4 games to move us up the league a bit.

Yes, I'm sure you're right, Hahn it was. O'Brien as I recall got subbed well before the end. Maybe just the clean sheet got me all excited...
