Winslow Boy
Can't believe there was any racism, shite banter I can believe. Cranfield prob didn't even know they were Jewish. I'd never heard that before. I would have thought they would need evidence before going to the papers and dragging a team through the mud. Of course if there was anything proven to be racist said it should be dealt with
manontheinside
why do people always say "I cant believe it" when black/asian /jewish players make a complain , dont you think they have enough faculties about them to know what is being said.? Cranfield were on the end of a 6-0 hammering their management and bench should be engaging in preventing their side from being on the receiving end of a hammering not engaging in inappropriate banter. Not one player has ever admitted to using racist language , they all will deny it as Suarez and Terry have indicated so what evidence should Lions have gathered? of course Cranfield would deny it, they all do . Lions did the right thing, if the referee did'nt help them then they are perfectly within the rights to highlight it, I have heard comments levelled against them in some of their games they were just said quietly so don't fool yourself or any one else here. At least Cranfield and others will learn to shut their mouths the next time they play them by it being highlighted We all know John Terry denied all and wasted everyones time and money for almost a year and was passing it off as "banter" Lesson 1 - Any reference to someones culture, appearance, color in a football match is racist behaviour

petethegreek
Only Jewish team? Not heard of the Macabbi (Southern) League. Will Cranfield United take legal action if they beleive the allegation to be untrue?

Not every allegation is true why do people 'always' assume that when there is an allegation it must be true. If you were there and witnessed it then it should be pursued and Cranfield and the players and management should be absolutely hammered for it as there is absolutely no place for anything like that. Some pretty serious allegations that certainly need proving.
Winslow Boy
Wow.. didn't realise all these years I've been racially abused #Ginger #BigEars Well exactly big nose isn't racist unless you have said knowing the person to be Jewish and intend to use it in that way. I've insulted people's physical appearances plenty in games as a wind up (ugly, fat, big eyed, baldy etc) but as I say if the chap on here was there and they were using other terminology which would indicate they were were being anti Semitic then they should be brought to task. Winslow Boy
Wonder if anything more has happened if the claims are not backed up or unjustified I hope Lee Bearman and Cranfield receive an apology. If however they are true it must be dealt with.
