Today at Harrow

AA job well done today-accomplished and professional performance i thought-deserved win.

Always easier to write after a win,but everyone contributed and played well.

I don't know whether we played particularly well-or harrow were average-but either way a good win-and they can't be too bad as they sit mid table.

Nice to go into the next home game on the back of two wins so maybe it wil add a few to the'Gate

First half-Harrow started marginally better-but then we came into it and just shaded the half i thought.

Whitnells goal came oabot from either a long clearance from Starkey-or a long free kick-can't remeber exactly-but either way -their defence left it and whitnell as behind the defence to volley into the net-route onestuff-but really their defensive error.

Not too much to say about the half-but we looked composed.

second half-we dominatewd from start to finish-even passed the ball about well-midfield had complete control.never created that many chances-but were dominant.

second goalfrom a free kick-really it was rooks goal as he had a great header-gioalie did well to save it but ball fell to avery who finished clinically.Felt sorry for rook as he was so close to scoring with a great header.Rook won most of his headers throughout-and led the line well.

defence loked solid throughout-both individually and as a unit.Have to say that pooley looks even better in central defence than he does at left back ,but central defender is his best position anyway.

Hard to single anyone out as mom.

stubbs outstanding first half, ball outstanding second half-but again-all played well-and as units-midfield combined well, defence played as a unit.

always easier when you are winning-but as second half wore on-also thought we looked fitter than harrow.

i think i'd go for Chris Kinnear as mom as imo-team selection spot on-a proper midfield grinding it out as gradually taking complete control.Interesting to see as well when rhodes came on he played at left back -alaile moved inside and we had a back 5.-'DON'T CONCEDE THE NIL '.

good stuff all round today

Again-easier to post safter a win, but genuinelyjust to add that i thought referee and indeed linesmen were excellent-got nearly all decisions-and bookings right.

hope their player with concussion is ok

Overall good performance again. Take nothing away from MFC victory but now I know why Harrow are 250/1 to win League.

I know you guys must be sick of me mentioning my man but, you got to admit he did more than his bit in the first half. Scored a goal that was disallowed, influenced both other goals. MFC Supporters were terrific, well done the choir. Opposition fan with Dad wanted picture taken with Shark, which they all dually obliged. Then the little 'un showed of his WHO Badge on his coat, so I had to show him my Tattoos. ( Felt like a Sir J moment) Back to the game not one poor player out on the pitch, Tommy W Goal, WOW what a cracker, if anybody had got in the way, they would be still be feeling it now. Only downside Harrow took what seemed forever to get their Knocked Out player onto a stretcher and off for Medical help, Our Physio did come onto the pitch to assist. 3 points onwards and upwards,

I don't think you try and move someone with a head injury too quickly Mark-and it was only latterly that maybe it was concussion and not something even more serious.

I do agree though that at Margate-the paramedics would have been on immediately-and he would have been off too hospital in the ambulance attended by paramedics-whereas at Harrow-they had to rely on i am sure very capable physios-but can't blame him for being ultra cautious in his approach.

(not quite so sure how bodkin was involved in the first goal-but yep-had a good game-but so did all 4 midfield players-a proper pack of midfielders working together.

they also made themselves available in space to receive passes which is a complement to all four and a skill in its own right.

.

Don Has Photographic evidence see Photo Two Bodkin will ball in 6 Minutes...he obviously held onto the ball till the goal was scored......

I guess we shall just have to agree to disagree...that'll make a change...But 3 POINTS thats my boys..

A good solid all round performance from the 16 players on the pitch and bench plus Bealsie on the touch line.

Difficult to find a POM but after due dilgenace and much consideration from the POM selection panel it was decided to give it to

Phsio Jess due to the way she strapped up Sam's ankle during half time.
