It's a game of two 'alves!

Recommended Posts

...and it certainly was.

Billericay started the first half looking very sharp and scored from their first two attacks. The second was from a rebound, with Billericay getting to the lose ball first. The Blues kept the pressure on for most of the first half.

The second half started with Enfield actually completing more than two paces at a time and getting to every lose ball before Billericay did. Even with their good start Billericay scored a third which turned out to be far more important than most of us would have realised with Enfield scoring twice. The first goal was down to individual determination more than anything, the second was a shambles from a defensive point of view.

All-in-all I enjoyed the game. Shame about the music (apart from Quo) and once I heard the bloody awful Robbie Williams start my ipod went on and stayed in.

All I can say is that the Gaffer will not have been pleased with the boys today - 2 up in 10 and could or should have been 4-0 at half time.

Felt we were coasting in the second half and allowed Enfield to play in front of us - we nearly paid the penalty.

Still,in the hat for the next round and no bookings for two matches in a row !!!! COYB

Pleased to get through to the next round and bank the cash. We statrted so well but got so sloppy. We have to play for 90 or it will cost us without doubt.

Charlie Taylor was absolutely outstanding for us today and hopefully we can avoid the silly mistakes next week.

Cracking cup tie. I had visions of another 7-0 1st half but a mad couple of minutes halfway through the 2nd made for a jittery but exciting last twenty five minutes. I agree with jl that Taylor looked a class act and that Edwards and Wild had good games.

Well done fellas
