Lord McApline

so hes innocent then of all charges,i really hope that this clown Messham now gets the lengthy jail sentence he deserves.

As any potential case against Mr Messham would almost certainly be a civil one, there is thankfully not a hope in hells chance of him be sent to prison. I doubt that any legal action will be taken though, as it could raise the possibility of establishment figures being named in an open court.

Considering its now fairly certain that offences against children have taken place by people like Saville in various care homes and other places, it does seem rather odd that your sympathies don't always seem to be for the victims.

Love to see Lord McAlpine take him to court.

Unless Mr Messham is a complete and utter fraud, I would imagine he has had a life of incredible torment and deserves justice. Highly paid lawyers acting for the obscenely rich Lord McAlpine though could easily push Messham over the edge, so have to disagree with you on this one.

Messham has had a shocking life I am sure but does that mean he shuold be allowed to help ruin another innocent man's life and not have to pay the consequences ?

If its a genuine case of mistaken identity then it would be very cruel if Lord McAlpine heaped even more misery on a victim. He has had an apology and it would be nice if he could now show some humility and forgiveness IMO.

I think that Lord McAlpine would accept a formal apology from Mr. Messham if it's a genuine mistake.

The onus should be on jailing those abusers, and I did overhear on BBC Wales that North Wales Police are looking into 'Masonic Connections'. Make of that what you will.

Would you be happy with just an apology ?

Possibly not, but if I was suing a penniless man what else could I expect or ask for? If Messham lost a civil action his only redress would be financial, and if he has limited assets any actions taken against him would be futile and arguably vindictive given the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the case.

if some establishment figure has abused a young boy then thats a sickening, cowardly crime,as it happened? possibly,if it has then i hope that justice catches up with them.

what sickens me almost as much is people on here posting links to conspiracy theorist sites which wouldnt look out of place in 1930's Berlin, the world is not run by a paedophille mafia anymore than nor is it run by a zionist elite, funny that 4 of the 5 people named on the list were jewish, some people on here really should spend a bit less time on fruitcake conspiracy websites.

Basil-Don,

Whilst I admit that a lot of the conspiracy web-sites are a bit OTT, there are some which have a strong element of truth in them and ask pertinent questions of those in society.

Whilst I don't believe that David Icke, Brian Gerrish and Alex Jones are right 100% of the time, I also do not take what the BBC and Sky say as being the Gospel truth. Both the BBC and Sky are agendaist (BBC left-leaning and Sky right-leaning) so will slant how they report things.

Ok, the Illuminati,New World Order and Lizards etc.might be wrong, but tell me do you have overwhelming proof that things the conspiracy theorists say are happening are totally false?

What about Chemtrails?

What about Demos and Common Purpose?

What about FEMA Camps being built in the USA?

What about the Rothschild, Astor, Collins and Hahn Families having World Governments in the palms of their hand?

Nobody knows for sure, so until it is proven one way or the other then no side can conclusively say they are right and the other side is wrong.

Well as long as some of them are true I dont suppose it really matters that a heck of a lot are not and do things like ruin people's lives. As long as 1 every now and then is true I guess it is ok.

Dave Jones managed to put similar accusations behind him so I'm sure Lord McAlpine will too

Krooner,

A very fair point, and there are some theories and accusations without any credible foundation. Those who start up fake rumours about people with the intention of hurting them should be jailed imho.

The trouble is that any Conspiracy Theory is a 'grey area'. Can we prove the facts about Roswell, 9/11 or the Kennedy Assassination for example?

Where there is an element of doubt, you should question whether you are being told the full story. I'm not (and never will) saying that these websites are 100% right, but if you expect to see the gospel truth from the mainstream media then you will be let down.

David's Autobiography 'No Smoke No Fire' is well worth a read.

Yes I've got it, what got me was that there couldn't have been anyone on the planet less capable of what Jones was accused of doing yet he went to hell and back to have to prove his innocence

Forgive me for mentioning it Adam, but on the Jimmy Saville thread you named a host of political figures and then kind of excuse yourself by stating that these are rumours you picked up from the internet. Any slightly gullible person reading some of your posts could reasonably be excused for thinking there's no smoke without fire so these rumours could have an element of truth in them, and an innocent person could suffer because of it.

A fair point there, Alan.

There are definitely people with agendas out there, and as you rightly say you have to be careful. 100 sites may say the same thing, but you can't always take what is being said as fact.

The worrying thing now could be that people come forward to say that this MP or this Policeman/Doctor/Teacher etc. abused me without any proof - this in turn puts genuine victims at risk because people will think that they are 'crying wolf.'

The one thing that I hope comes about because of this is a return to the days where those in authority have spotless characters - we need to rebuild trust in society from the top down. If we cannot trust those who run the country to do it in a proper and just way without harming others, then what hope for the rest of us?
